Trump steals spotlight with bold “I’m the boss” quip

President Donald Trump cracked up members of the G7 Summit with his special brand of humor as he arrived at a Wednesday morning meeting.

The United States leader was in Evian-le-Bains in France, attending the bilateral and multilateral meetings, when a casual moment went viral. Arriving late to Wednesday’s morning meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) officials, Trump briefly stopped at the head of the table.

Watch:

“We have to catch the president of Korea, President Lula, and President Ruto,” said French President Emmanuel Macron, noting the leaders still absent. “All right. President Trump will arrive in a while, but I suggest in order to try to organize everything to try to start. I wait for President Lula and President Lee. And Georgia is arriving as well. She was with us.”

“I will just make a short introduction, and if you could frame our discussion, it would be very good,” he continued. “And we have President Lee. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. The president of Korea. Thank you. So as we are waiting… When you want to take the floor and request, you press the button on your left. When I give you the floor, you press a button on the right. “Well, I wish I’d known that a couple of days ago,” an unidentified person said.

“Oh, hello, President. There he goes,” Macron said as Trump entered the room and was being ushered to his chair.

“I’m the boss,” he quipped, drawing laughter from around the room.

“How are you?” Macron asked cheerfully.

“Good, thank you,” Trump responded.

The press was removed from the room shortly after a group photo was taken, but Trump could still be heard in the background.

“It’s too hot in here. Do they have a little air conditioning here?”
