It’s likely that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas cannot count the number of times he has been called an “Uncle Tom” based on his conservative views, but when the name calling comes from one of the top celebrities in American culture, a black man to boot, it still draws headlines.
Liberal actor Samuel Jackson took to Twitter after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that erroneously declared abortion a constitutional right, setting his sights on Thomas, who was but one of five jurists voting to overturn the ruling.
In the ultimate irony, the court ruling was the ultimate example of democracy in that it DID NOT ban abortions, but sent the matter back to the states. Yet, those on the left who have spent the better part of six years fighting to “save our democracy” object strenuously.
“How’s Uncle Clarence feeling about overturning Loving v Virginia??!!” Jackson tweeted.

The 1967 case reference by Jackson struck down state bans on interracial marriages — Thomas is married to Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, a white woman.
Jackson was surely motivated by the concurring opinion Thomas offered, suggesting that the Supreme Court should consider other landmark decisions that involve the right to contraceptive access and same-sex marriage.
“For that reason, in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell,” Thomas wrote in a concurring opinion.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, summed Jackson’s antic up well when he tweeted, “The hateful bigotry of the Left knows no bounds.”

Here’s a sampling of other responses calling out the elitist actor for his racism as seen on Twitter:

It’s important to remember that when you hear someone in Hollywood say something that sounds smart, it’s because someone else wrote the words they are repeating. When they say something really fucking stupid, it’s all them. https://t.co/8byncVnlgs

Sad SJ went there. 6 Justices voted to overturn including a woman but he’s targeting his fellow black man

Stupid people are always intimidated by a greater intellect so they strike out in the most base, outrageous way that they themselves can imagine. We’ve all just witnessed SJ’s intellect hard at work
