The lunatic accused of stabbing two people in New York City while allegedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” yelled another bizarre message during his perp walk on Friday.
During a Thursday afternoon rampage on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, 51-year-old Raul Morales allegedly stabbed a 57-year-old Asian man in the back with a knife and then plunged a screwdriver into the chest of a Jewish man who was wearing a kippah, yelling out the radical Islamic war cry during the attacks, according to authorities.
The alleged assailant was charged with hate crime counts, and while he was being transported by police to Downtown Manhattan to be booked, Morales cryptically hollered the name of a woman whom he may have been seeking to avenge.

“Justice for Sandra Lilian Romero,” the suspect said amid a throng of reporters asking why he did it.
“Justice for the Romero family,” Morales shouted before he was stuffed into an NYPD vehicle and whisked away.
It isn’t known who the woman or the family is that he was referring to.
Morales was arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault for the vicious and unprovoked acts that shocked Gotham and have made national headlines.
“The NYPD has arrested 51-year-old Raul Morales in connection with both assaults, and no other people are being sought. Detectives are continuing to work the case and determine motive, but according to victim and witness statements, Morales yelled “Allahu Akbar” during both attacks. The NYPD is currently evaluating whether this is a potential hate crime,” New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said in a Thursday post to social media.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive. A judge has ordered that the suspect be remanded without bail, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said, according to NBC News.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said that the suspect would be charged with hate crimes.

“The suspect, Raul Morales, who allegedly committed these reprehensible attacks against an Asian man and a Jewish man, is now facing hate crime and attempted murder charges,” the Democrat leader announced in a Friday post to X.
“I am thankful that he is being held accountable and hope he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This kind of despicable violence is not who we are as a city. Every New Yorker deserves to be safe, regardless of their religion or race,” Mamdani said, adding, “Our administration will always stand against bigotry and do everything in our power to root out antisemitism, racism, and hateful acts of all kinds.”
Hizzoner made a stir this week over his threat to have “war criminal” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested when he visits the city in September for the United Nations General Assembly. He backed down but has come under intense criticism for his inciteful rhetoric.
It is unclear what motivated Morales to carry out his rampage.
