Angry 11-foot alligator lets out a massive ROAR when trapper tries to remove beast from Florida homeowner’s doorstep

It took plenty of encouragement to convince a massive 11 foot alligator to depart from a Florida homeowner’s doorstep.

Not that the mighty beast was too pleased with the assist, as one might surmise from the demonic roar that can be heard as a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission trapper tried to restrain the alligator.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office shared a video of the encounter that made some think of Jurassic Park on Facebook.

“Have you ever heard an alligator ROAR? 🐊 well, watch this!” the caption read. “Earlier this week, deputies responded to a home on Oakland Hills Place in Rotonda around 1 in the morning after the homeowner found a gator underneath their Jeep.”

The post further noted that “unbelievably enough, this 11′ 2″ gator took out the homeowner’s light pole.”

A deputy sheriff looking on can be heard responding to the alligator’s angry growl by saying, “Oh my god.”

One social media user seemed to sum things up well when they wrote, “That would be the day I quit my job.”

“As long as people leave them alone, they don’t bother people,” a neighbor told WINK. “They do get to a size where people get way too afraid of them, and where they can do some danger or cause problems.”

The gator’s ultimate fate is uncertain, although when Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission trappers remove “nuisance” gators they are often euthanized and their meat and hide sold.

There are around 1.3 million alligators in the Sunshine State, according to the agency.
