The battle over birthright citizenship continues to play out in court, and both sides are digging in.

U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman blocked President Trump’s executive order restricting birthright citizenship on Wednesday.

Biden-appointed Boardman sided with two immigration advocacy groups who had challenged Trump’s attempt last year to limit who can be eligible for automatic citizenship at birth.

Birthright citizenship has been abused for decades and has become big business for nefarious groups that exploit its original premise.

But the Trump administration continues to be stymied by activist judges in its attempt to stop the corruption.

“This Court must, once again, preliminarily enjoin enforcement of the President’s most recent attempt to strip the right to citizenship from them,” Boardman wrote in a 35-page opinion.

Boardman pointed to the Supreme Court’s decision in June to strike down President Trump’s Day 1 executive order, and called Trump’s new directive “almost certainly unconstitutional.”

In response to Boardman’s decision, U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Trump administration is ready to go back to the Supreme Court if that’s what it takes.

These judges are hurting our country. There’s no reason to have birthright citizenship, and with countries like China making a business out of it, not only is it wrong but it’s also a National Security issue.
