A fight is brewing among the left between genuinely moderate, sane Democrats and “extreme” lunatics like Sen. Bernie Sanders.
The latest fight has pitted Sanders and crew against Rep. Haley Stevens, a moderate Democrat who was successfully primaried in August by another lunatic: woke Islamist Abdul El-Sayed.

Stevens is a non-Jewish Zionist, and as a Zionist, she can clearly see what’s happening on her side of the political aisle — and according to her, it all boils down to a rapid rise in anti-Zionism.
“I believe that anti-Zionism is a hate movement that has taken over in America and throughout parts of the West,” she told The Jerusalem Post in an exclusive interview. “I think that Israel is more than just a punching bag for some of the challenges that America is facing.”
“There is this bizarre obsession that has reached pitch level with calling out one country, one tiny country in the Middle East,” she added.
It’s an obsession that’s been adopted by Sanders, who is ethnically Jewish yet takes every chance he gets to throw shade at Israel. For instance, just like El-Sayed, Sanders has also called for ending U.S. aid to Israel.
Netanyahu knows Americans are sick of funding Israel’s wars. So now he’s working with Congress to hide military aid inside Pentagon co-production deals.
That means MORE U.S. tax dollars for Israel, with even LESS oversight.

“I really don’t know what Bernie Sanders has done for peace in the Middle East, for Palestinian dignity,” Stevens said of Sanders. “I can’t think of anything he’s totally done. It’s a sickness that needs to end. You know, it’s a linkage towards extremism or Jihad, I don’t know.”
Unlike Sanders, Stevens is a big believer in the U.S.-Israel relationship.
“I also see the US-Israel relationship being so critical to ways in which we can harness our own innovation and production capabilities,” she said. “We work with Israel much more than we will work with other countries in this region on our shared interests and for the Jewish people as well, on innovation priorities.”
The problem is that her staunch pro-Israel views have become a major problem for the Democratic Party.

“I was demonized for that,” Stevens told the Post. “I was booed off my convention stage. I was chased out of a labor event in Detroit.”
“I was on the verge of being attacked physically, and I’ve certainly been threatened. But I’m not a victim; I’m not a hero. I’m a public servant. I put up my hand to exercise my freedoms. I’m proud to do so. I’m proud to still stand,” she added.
She continued by saying that her losing battle with El-Sayed was a microcosm of what’s happening to the Democratic Party at large.
Even though Stevens lost her primary, she considers the fact that she’d gotten so far to be a sign of at least something good.
“Stevens remains proud of the coalition she built, noting that she won Detroit and even secured Rashida Tlaib’s congressional district by ‘double digits,'” the Post noted. “For the approximately 150,000 Jews living in Michigan who are increasingly fearful of the political climate, Stevens says her campaign demonstrated that pro-Israel Democrats can still build significant support.”
“I think people here should be proud of how well I did, you know, as a pro-Israel Democrat. I think I’m hope,” Stevens said.
