AOC, ‘squad’ call for ceasefire as Israel vows ‘mighty vengeance’ in response to Hamas attack

The cadre of far-left Democrats known as “The Squad” called for Israel to refrain from taking a “mighty vengeance” on Hamas terrorists who butchered civilians and paraded around with bodies of their victims like trophies.

On Saturday, “Squad” ringleader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her fellow Israel-hating leftist lawmakers waited for hours before reacting to the butchery of the Islamist fanatics who struck during a Jewish holiday, and while they did condemn the murderous actions of the primitive savages, they called for an immediate ceasefire before Gaza is turned into “rubble” as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed will happen.

“Today is devastating for all those seeking a lasting peace and respect for human rights,” the socialist diva said in a statement. “I condemn Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms. No child and family should ever endure this kind of violence and fear, and this violence will not solve the ongoing oppression and occupation in the region.

“An immediate ceasefire and de-escalation is urgently needed to save lives,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wrote, “I condemn the horrific acts we are seeing unfold today in Israel against children, women, the elderly, and the unarmed people who are being slaughtered and taken hostage by Hamas. Such senseless violence will only repeat the back and forth cycle we’ve seen, which we cannot allow to continue. We need to call for deescalation and ceasefire. I will keep advocating for peace and justice throughout the Middle East.”

“These devastating attacks on Israelis are deeply alarming and my heart breaks for the victims & their loved ones,” wrote Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). “We need an immediate ceasefire & de-escalation.”

Bomb-throwing BLM activist Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) also called for an “immediate ceasefire and de-escalation” while demanding that the U.S. end its financial support of Israel which she called an “apartheid” state, referring to the notorious South African system, a derogatory term popular with leftists that has only served to further inflame the hatred of the Jewish state’s enemies.

Uncharacteristically silent was “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who as a Palestinian has been one of the most anti-Semitic of all the Democrat caucus members and led the leftist boycott of Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s recent speech to Congress, a big middle finger to America’s critical Middle East ally.

X users reacted to the statements from anti-Israel “Squad” members that all used the same language in their calls for Israel to call off the dogs on the terrorist murderers of women and children.

The carnage has been immense with the numbers from Saturday being reported as over 300 Israelis dead with 1,500+ wounded from the barrage of 3,000+ rockets and the marauding murders of Jewish victims in their homes.

“This morning, on Shabbat and a holiday, Hamas invaded Israeli territory and murdered innocent citizens including children and the elderly,” Netanyahu said in a speech on Saturday. “Hamas has started a brutal and evil war.”

“All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble. I say to the residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere,” the prime minister added.

When retaliation comes, it’s probably safe to predict that AOC and her fellow “Squad” members will accuse Israel of human rights abuses.
