AOC’s sick celebration of Tucker’s departure from Fox News: ‘De-platforming works’

Predictably, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was quick to celebrate Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News on Monday, essentially taking credit after falsely claiming on Jen Psaki’s new Sunday talk show that what Carlson and others at Fox do is “very, very clearly incitement of violence.”

AOC released a video on social media — sounding a lot like a stoned high school teenager — claiming Carlson is out due to “de-platforming.”

“Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News… couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy,” the socialist lawmaker said.

“Uh, what I will say though is that while I’m very glad that the person who is arguably responsible for some of the largest — driving some of the most amounts of death threats and violent threats, not just to my office but to plenty of people across the country,” she continued. “I also kinda feel like I’m like waiting for the cut scene at the end of a Marvel movie, after all the credits have rolled and then you see like the villain’s like hand reemerge out to grip over like the end of the building or something.”

“But de-platforming works, and it is important. Good things can happen,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.

Of course, the Democrat wasted no time fundraising off Carlson’s departure, distorting reality while peddling the prerequisite left-wing victimization narrative.

“It’s official: Tucker Carlson is off the air,” a fundraising email stated, according to Punch Bowl.

“After years of viciously targeting women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community, Tucker Carlson was told abruptly this morning he no longer has a show. Reports say he never saw it coming,” the pitch continued.

As for her fears of Tucker Carlson reemerging, Ocasio-Cortez should be afraid as the possibilities are endless — hell, there’s even talk of the now-former Fox News host running for president or joining either Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (should he declare) as their VP running mate.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter, with more than one person suggesting Ocasio-Cortez needs to be de-platformed:
