Given that the southern border with Mexico is basically wide open and being invaded daily by thousands of illegal immigrants, with the numbers totally well above several million in the short time President Biden has been in office — and this doesn’t count the hundreds of thousands of known “gotaways” — any talk of walls or fencing is going to be met with skepticism.
Particularly when it involves building such barriers around Biden’s multimillion-dollar beach house in his home state of Delaware.
The president is returning to his beach home after vacationing in Kiawah Island, South Carolina — his fifth trip home this summer. Interestingly, he is returning without first lady Jill Biden, who is reportedly staying behind following her recent positive test for Covid-19 that is being treated with Paxlovid.

“Biden is expected to arrive at his $2.7 million summer house in the North Shores community of Rehoboth Beach on Saturday after spending the last couple nights in Wilmington, Delaware, according to data released by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA),” Fox News reported. “On Wednesday, Biden was briefly at the White House signing of the $739 billion Inflation Reduction Act into law.”
A taxpayer-funded security fence is being built around the president’s home, with the cost having “ballooned to nearly $500,000,” according to Fox News, which noted that the Department of Homeland Security awarded $456,548 to a Sussex County company to construct the security fence in September 2021.

Turnstone Holdings LLC was granted the contract for the “purchase and installation of security fencing” at the Biden residence, according to USAspending.gov, an online database of federal government spending. Construction of the fence began in Sept. 2021 and is expected to be completed by June 6, 2023.
The Secret Service declined to comment when reached by Fox News Digital.
“Due to the need to maintain operational security, the U.S. Secret Service does not comment on the means, methods or resources used to conduct our protective operations,” the agency said.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
Building a fence around the Biden’s private Delaware Beach home is more of a priority than securing the nation and finishing the fencing along the open southern border – which Biden has yet to visit. https://t.co/MrGWLhEYRG

I see some saying it’s required by secret service, if that’s the case, seems fair even though he was VP for 8 years and has made it through almost half his term as president without one, but whatever. But $500k??? Is it made of solid gold?

So a fence is required by the secret service but we can’t have a wall or fence securing the boarder? I guess rich politicians have more value then hard working Americans!

Is this his little reward for supposedly having a 0% increase inflation in July!? Is this what the 700 odd billion dollars in funding was set aside for? 😂 I’d love to go to my workplace and take 500k to put up fences around my house!!!

Did Joe Biden, the Big Guy, get his 10%? Sounds like several people collected their 10% on this deal. https://t.co/NiPfyzjcu4

I was told fences are racist and don’t work. https://t.co/NPwKtdu4BC

I remember when Americans were shouting Trump was bad, because he wanted to build a wall between America and Mexico. Now, @POTUS is doing something similar to a luxury beach house with taxpayers money. It’s simple, isn’t it? You build a wall for protection!!! https://t.co/Xi7xO5kvLg
