An assistant principal in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools system has been arrested for plotting to kill ICE agents.
John Bennett, a 54-year-old assistant principal at Kempsville High School, and his brother Mark Bennett, 59, were arrested Wednesday after an off-duty police officer overheard them allegedly talking about what to do about ICE agents who were “kidnapping individuals.”

That’s according to a criminal complaint obtained by WTKR News 3.
More from the CBS affiliate:
On Saturday, Nov. 15, an off-duty Norfolk police officer was having lunch at a Virginia Beach restaurant at the same time as the Bennetts, the complaint says. The officer claims he overheard the brothers talking about “how ICE agents are kidnapping individuals and that they needed to do something about it.”
During the conversation, Mark Bennett allegedly told his brother he was going to fly to Las Vegas to meet with likeminded people and return with “enforcement ideas and plans.” He also said he recently bought an assault rifle, the complaint states, because “it utilizes the explosive rounds that are needed to penetrate the vests.”

Virginia Beach Police Department Chief Paul Neudigate describes the accusations as “alarming.”
“These allegations of violence against law enforcement, the very ones who protect and serve our communities, are incredibly alarming,” Neudigate said. “We are grateful this information was brought to our attention. VBPD was able to work with various law enforcement agencies to assess the credibility of the information, leading to today’s arrests ensuring the safety of both our law enforcement community and the public at large.”
Democrats have been demonizing ICE agents for months on end for little more than enforcing U.S. immigration laws, leading to a significant increase in threats being directed at the federal officers.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
People that think like this shape the minds of millions of American children 40 hours a week, 9 months a year.
If the DC swamp ever gets drained, the Education Departments in every state need to be the next target for reform from conservatives.

The left are incredibly violent and criminal.

Everyone is a suspect now. If a high school principal could do this anybody could. So much violence created by the Democrats. This is their base. They are mentally unstable and dangerous.

Virginia just elected an AG who thinks that is not wrong.

Have they perchance met the newly elected Attorney General? Bet they would get along famously.

Ah yes, the ‘tolerant left’—teaching your kids algebra by day, planning political assassinations over schnitzel by night.
Truly inspirational.
