An underage drinker decided to get revenge on The Mark Hotel in New York City by hiring protesters to smear and intimidate management there, bizarrely yelling random accusations outside as guests left.
The smear campaign didn’t have the desired effect. It mostly confused and annoyed guests with approximately six protesters giving them grief. Protesters allegedly waved signs accusing the 5-star hotel of supporting pedophiles and “denying the Holocaust,” according to a lawsuit that the instigator was just hit with.
Theodore Weintraub is accused of paying protesters $25 an hour to chant outside the upper-crust establishment, brandishing signs at the hotel located on East 77th Street near Fifth Avenue. He was reportedly kicked out of the hotel for repeatedly attempting to buy drinks at its trendy bar with a fake ID during the summer of 2021, according to the lawsuit filed on Thursday in Manhattan Supreme Court.
The New York Post reported that protesters held signs that claimed “The Mark Supports [Jeffrey] Epstein,” “The Mark Denies the Holocaust,” “The Mark gropes people,” and “The Mark Spreads Disease.”
“They were saying the most random things,” Claudia Oshry, who is the co-host of the podcast “The Toast” stated. She recounted that her boyfriend witnessed the strange spectacle.
“‘The Mark has mice, the Mark denies the Holocaust, the Mark supports Epstein.’ [He] was like, ‘How are these three things related?’” the boyfriend wondered.
The young entitled boozer was spotted sitting in a parked Cadillac and smirking as the “protesters” picketed the hotel, according to workers who spoke with Patch.com.
“All these different chants all day … It’s the craziest thing we’ve ever had to deal with,” one hotel employee said. “[They say] the Mark has mice, the Mark supports Epstein [and] pedophiles.”
According to hotel staff who spoke to Patch, “It was like non-stop, going up to every single table back and forth for hours.” The hotel was forced to shorten outdoor dining hours because of the protesters.
The hotel’s lawsuit is alleging defamation and is seeking a restraining order and damages against Weintraub.
Complete lack of humility and epitome of spoiled brat. Who are the parents who raised this monster child.

Weintraub reportedly became “increasingly aggressive” about being booted from The Mark, which has famously hosted celebrities such as the Canadian rapper Drake, model Gigi Hadid, and actress Angelina Jolie. It once boasted a $75,000-per-night penthouse suite and it is a favorite among the famous, rich, and powerful.
According to the hotel, the young drinker caused so many “commotions that the hotel flagged him as a disturbance” and then summarily banned him.
Weintraub was evidently not daunted by being banned. He reportedly soon showed up for a dinner reservation with his “well-known doctor” father, who is a cardiologist, on Sept. 16, 2021, and was stopped by security. That prompted him to “beg forgiveness.” When he was denied entry, he came unglued, according to the lawsuit.
The antagonist shares an address with Park Avenue art-collecting doctor Dr. Philip Weintraub, according to the Daily Mail.
“Defendant began accusing the hotel of being antisemitic and spitting in people’s food,” the suit alleged.
The New York Post reported, “Nearly two years later, in June 2023, Weintraub allegedly began picketing with an unnamed friend outside the hotel while harassing guests and workers, according to the lawsuit.”
“He allegedly timed the ‘protests’ to be during hotel’s most ‘populated time periods’ when ‘VIP guests were expected to be entering or exiting’ the building, the suit states,” the media outlet added.

There has also been at least one alleged physical confrontation between Weintraub and a hotel guest. Police were called to the scene, according to the lawsuit.
The NYPD was called regarding the protests at least three times but the police said they couldn’t do anything because the group was small and was not using sound amplification, a worker claimed according to the Daily Mail.
