‘Be careful, motherf*cker!’ Ron Perlman scrambles to delete video threatening studio exec amid strike

Candid remarks attributed to a studio executive led Hollywood hothead Ron Perlman to hint at more than words in a since deleted threatening video: “Be careful, motherf*cker…”

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) were only hours into joining the picket lines with the Writers Guild of America (WGA) when the actor, known for his roles in “Hellboy” and “Sons of Anarchy,” brought his tough guy persona into everyday life.

Taking to Instagram, the viral video scrubbed from his social media called out, “The motherf*cker who said we’re gonna keep this thing going until people start losing their houses and their apartments.”

“Listen to me, motherf*cker! There’s a lot of ways to lose your house. Some of it is financial, some of it is karma and some of it is just figuring out who the f*ck said that. And we know who said that and where he f*cking lives,” Perlman went on.

“There’s a lot of ways to lose your house,” he continued. “You wish that on people, you wish that families starve, while you’re making $27 f*cking million a year for creating nothing? Be careful, motherf*cker. Be really careful, ’cause that’s the kind of sh*t that stirs sh*t up.”

“Peace out,” the actor concluded.

The remarks appeared to be in response to a report from Deadline that included a quote from an unnamed studio executive was cited as saying “The endgame is to allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses” while another said it was “a cruel but necessary evil.”

Published days before the actors had officially gone on strike beside the writers, the outlet had some insider’s suggestion that talks wouldn’t even begin in earnest until the fall. Deadline wrote, “‘Not Halloween precisely, but late October, for sure, is the intention,’ says a top-tier producer close to the Carol Lombardini-run AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers).”

While neither Perlman nor Deadline named names, American Wire had previously pointed out Disney CEO Bob Iger had extended is contract of $27 million-per-year through 2026, the same figure stated by the actor, and the executive hadn’t spoken favorably toward the position of the strikers.

“There is a level of expectations that [the writers and actors] have that is just not realistic,” Iger said in discussion with CNBC drawing criticism from Abigail Disney who had tweeted, “You can only call your workers and partners ‘unrealistic’ if you cannot see beyond the confines of the very narrow and morally bankrupt business ideology that has set your company on this long track toward exploitation and injustice.”

In a follow-up video carrying the hallmarks of a forced apology, Perlman stated, “Admittedly I got quite heated.”

“As you can imagine, my reaction to somebody wishing that kind of harm on people in the very same industry that they call their own would engender a response. So, let me make something very clear right now. I don’t wish anybody any harm,” he said adding, “I hope the a**hole who made that comment also doesn’t wish anybody any harm.”

“I have nothing but love for the original guys who started the studios, but let’s maintain a degree of humanity in all of this. Okay? It can’t all be about your f*cking Porsche and your f*cking stock prices. There’s got to be dignity if we are going to hold the mirror up and reflect the human experience,” Perlman contended.
