Biden announces plans to fast track citizenship for migrants in America illegally

President Joe Biden’s America Last agenda took another swipe at the GOP and national sovereignty with an announcement to shield more than half a million illegal aliens from deportation.

Attempts to fault congressional Republicans for Biden’s border crisis continued at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Tuesday as the administration released a fact sheet on, “New Actions to Keep Families Together.”

As part of a ceremony to mark the 12-year anniversary of former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, the resident-in-chief will ease the process for illegal aliens married to Americans in the country to gain permanent residency status.

According to the release from the White House, “This action will protect approximately half a million spouses of U.S. citizens, and approximately 50,000 noncitizen children under the age of 21 whose parent is married to a U.S. citizen.”

On a case-by-case basis, the Department of Homeland Security is expected to grant a three-year window for alien spouses to apply for permanent residency if they have already been living in the United States for at least 10 years. The law currently requires those who attempted to skirt the green card process to self-deport for a decade before becoming eligible to apply for citizenship.

Reporting on the announcement, the New York Times wrote, “Officials briefed on the discussions said the announcement could amount to the most sweeping unilateral move by a president to provide relief to unauthorized immigrants since President Barack Obama implemented DACA. In a separate move on Tuesday, Mr. Biden is also expected to announce new ways to help people in DACA, known as Dreamers, gain access to work visas.”

Specifically, the White House detailed that those “Dreamers” who’d gone on to earn college degrees would see their work visas expedited as the president’s personal social media account had boasted on Saturday, “12 years ago today, President Obama and I announced the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) to allow our young people to live and work in the only country they’ve called home. I’m committed to providing Dreamers the support they need to succeed.”

Meanwhile, despite having signed over 90 executive orders that eroded border security after being inaugurated, the release touted Biden’s efforts from day one as a positive and further sold Republicans as obstructionists.

“Since his first day in office, President Biden has called on Congress to secure our border and address our broken immigration system. As Congressional Republicans have continued to put partisan politics ahead of national security — twice voting against the toughest and fairest set of reforms in decades –the President and his Administration have taken actions to secure the border,” it claimed by spinning the recent executive order on asylum claims and increased number of law enforcement personnel dispatched for processing as something other than bureaucratizing the illegal entries.

The incumbent’s efforts to curry favor with select demographics come as estimates of illegal entries during the administration closed on 10 million and former President Donald Trump has made the case for mass deportation of illegal aliens that polling found a majority of Americans, including Hispanic voters, favored.
