President Joe Biden insists that he was never a part of the business dealings of his scoundrel son and shady brother but the family’s patriarch may not be being completely honest.
According to a new report by Politico, the nation’s 46th president has shared several personal aides with his scandal-soaked progeny Hunter Biden and brother Jim Biden, both of whom are the subject of congressional criminal referrals to the Justice Department.
“For years, Joe Biden shared a bookkeeper with his son, Hunter. He also shared a personal lawyer with his brother, Jim. And when Jim Biden wanted to know more about one of Hunter Biden’s associates, he hired the former head of Joe Biden’s Secret Service detail to investigate,” the outlet reported.
Biden insists he’s not involved in his family’s business dealings. But his aides are a different story. | Politico

Citing documents reviewed that include emails, public records, and interviews from the House impeachment inquiry, Politico reveals that when it comes to the elder Biden’s involvement in his family’s business endeavors, “members of his inner circle were regularly enmeshed in those dealings: Many of the president’s closest staffers and advisers have doubled as his relatives’ business associates, both during and after their stints working for the man at the center of the Biden family orbit.”
Among the crossover relationships between Joe, Jim and Hunter Biden are:
Biden’s personal bookkeeper Eric Schwerin who worked for the then-vice president when he was also working for Hunter Biden as his business partner and personal bookkeeper.
Dale Pupillo “oversaw Joe Biden’s Secret Service detail during his vice presidency, then worked as a private investigator for Jim Biden.”
Fran Person who “was Joe Biden’s body man, then after going into work with a Chinese real estate developer sought to do business with Hunter Biden and offered him the developer’s personal largesse.”
White House physician Kevin O’Connor who served as Biden’s doctor when he was veep and then “pursued a potential health care deal alongside Jim Biden in 2017.”
According to Politico, “As Jim and Hunter Biden’s foreign dealings have caused controversy and several of their business partners have been convicted of federal fraud and corruption crimes in recent years, any potential links between their business dealings and the president have come in for renewed scrutiny.”
Last week, House Republican leaders sent criminal referrals for Hunter and Jim Biden to Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“We’ve caught President Biden’s son and brother making blatant lies to Congress in what appears to be a concerted effort to hide Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s schemes. As part of our efforts to hold the Bidens accountable for profiting off public office, we are today referring Hunter and James Biden to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution for making false statements to Congress. This is not the end of our efforts to hold the Bidens accountable; it’s only the beginning,” said House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) in a statement.
