While the left continues, much to the surprise of many, to rally behind Joe Biden’s bid for a second term in the White House, there is one candidate who is gaining steam and threatening to take votes from Republicans and Independents as well as from the gaffe-prone president.
According to Fox News’s Greg Gutfeld, Democratic challenger Robert Kennedy, Jr. is the “real deal,” and it would be “stupid” to discount him.

When Kennedy visited the southern border with Mexico, “The Five” co-host said, he showed that he is the “opposite of Joe Biden.”
Kennedy posted a video of himself, at 2:00 a.m., standing in front of the border wall outside of Yuma, Arizona.
“This is a humanitarian crisis because of the understanding across the globe that we now have an open border,” he said. “There are people being drawn here. They’re being abused…and this is not a good thing for our country. It’s not a good thing for these people. And it is unsustainable.”
At 2 am this morning, I visited the border outside of Yuma, Arizona where thousands of migrants are crossing the border each week. You have to see it with your own eyes. #Kennedy24 pic.twitter.com/Fbl4mPr44A

It was a common-sense message that broke ranks with the left’s approved narrative and resonated with people from across the political spectrum.
“He’s the opposite of Joe Biden,” Gutfeld said. “He actually likes the Deplorables. He condemned that word. He understands blue collars where only Joe Biden fakes it. Joe Biden pretends he’s this average Joe, and he hangs out with steelworkers like he’s chumps with his mechanic or he knows a guy because he knows the name of his driver.”
“RFK is the real deal,” he stated. “He goes out, he fishes, he explores, he reads books. I can’t believe how much I like this person because I never could stand the Kennedys, but I might have to switch my party just so I could vote for him in the primary because I honestly do think he is a serious breath of fresh air.”
I met with local farmers Cory Mellon, Alex Mueller, Hank Auza, and Robert Barkley in Yuma, Arizona. Yuma County provides 90% of the green leafy vegetables, like iceberg lettuce, arugula, spinach, and broccoli, to American tables between November and April. That could, the co-host cautioned, cause problems for former President Donald Trump on the debate stage.
“He genuinely sees and feels the appeal of the Trump supporter and even Trump himself,” Gutfeld said of Kennedy. “And that’s why I believe Trump will have a hard time debating him because he’ll agree with him.”
“He’ll agree with RFK Jr. on the Deep State, on the military-industrial complex, on the unseen and unheard Americans,” he predicted. “I mean, I don’t know. I just think he’s… This dude is a powerhouse. [It would] be stupid to write him off.”
Citing a recent USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll, Fox News Digital reports that “Kennedy took 14% of Biden’s 2020 voters at his campaign’s formal launch in mid-April.”
According to “The Five” co-host Harold Ford Jr., the nephew of President John F. Kennedy can not be “dismissed.”
“You can’t dismiss someone who’s going to the border,” he said. “You can’t dismiss someone who is saying that what’s happening there is unsustainable.”
“I don’t think RFK is a serious candidate for president,” Ford said, “but he’s raising serious issues that deserve, I think, a different kind of attention that is being given.”
