In his continued efforts to strip Americans of their constitutionally-protected rights, President Joe Biden repeated his assertion that the 2nd Amendment is not absolute and dismissed calls to arm teachers, despite admitting that he, himself, owns two shotguns.
Speaking Friday at a Democratic donor event, Biden stated that “he does not believe the Second Amendment covers all forms of firearms,” according to Fox News.
While renewing his pleas for the passage of a so-called “assault weapons” ban, Biden reportedly informed the donors that the idea of training and arming teachers to prevent massacres, such as the one committed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, from happening was a severely misguided one.
As proof, the Commander in Chief pointed to military training and said that it’s difficult to “blow someone’s brains out.”
“The idea we’re going to provide — the way to deal with gun safety is to provide teachers with guns in classrooms?” he said. “There’s a reason why the military takes so long to train somebody. It’s not easy to pick up a rifle or a gun and blow somebody’s brains out.”
The DNC event was held at the home of billionaire Haim Saban, founder of Saban Entertainment, which produces and distributes children’s shows such as “Power Rangers.”
A quick trip to Wikipedia, which tends to favor Democratic donors, reveals that Saban “headed up consortiums which purchased the broadcasters ProSiebenSat. 1 Media and Univision Communications.”
Soros-led group backs purchase of 18 Univision radio stations in leading Latino markets ahead of midterms https://t.co/RGt0T6lETN
— American Wire News (@americanwire_) June 5, 2022
This is relevant because, as American Wire reported earlier this month, Univision just sold 18 of its radio stations — each located in 10 of the nation’s largest Latino markets — to Latino Media Network (LMN), which secured its financing for the $60 million all-cash deal from Latino celebrities and from Lakestar Finance, an investment group tied to none other than George Soros via Soros Fund Management.
The purchase of Univision’s stations was described by Newsbusters as “clearly a panic move” meant to combat the spread of “disinformation” on conservative Spanish-language radio.
LMN chief Stephanie Valencia, who served under former President Barack Obama as a Latino outreach director, claimed Latinos “are looking for trusted voices” because “upwards of 70% of Latinos are getting their news and information about politics and elections from places like YouTube.”
And on Friday, reports Deadline, not only did President Biden discuss gun reform in the home of Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl Saban, he dished about inflation, telling donors that “we’re going to live with this inflation for a while” and stressing that “this idea that inflation is caused by the economic growth we’ve caused is simply not true.”
Biden also discussed the war in Ukraine with the wealthy donors, claiming that “a lot of people thought I was exaggerating” about a Russian invasion into neighboring Ukraine, but “I knew we had data to sustain.”
Of Putin, Biden said, “What he’s trying to do is obliterate [Ukraine’s] culture, not just take the nation, but the culture. The Ukrainian culture, because he doesn’t believe it’s such an independent thing as a Ukrainian culture. He thinks it came as a seed of mother Russia.”
The DNC event reportedly raised $2.5 million.
