President Joe Biden confirmed he has a serious lack of understanding of the U.S. Constitution when he claimed it is “always evolving slightly” on the rights of citizens.
Speaking about nominations to the Supreme Court on Tuesday, with Vice President Kamala Harris alongside, Biden even brought up the “curtailing” of rights as he claimed there are “several schools of thought” on judicial philosophy.
Meeting with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and committee ranking member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the president said he wanted “the advice of senators as well as the consent” so that they “can arrive on who the nominee should be.”
Biden has promised he will nominate a black woman to fill the seat on the high court after Justice Stephen Breyer’s imminent retirement.

“You know, there’s always a renewed national debate, every time we nominate, any president, nominates a justice, because the Constitution is always evolving slightly in terms of additional rights, or curtailing rights,” Biden said. “And it’s always an issue.”
“And there are several schools of thought, in terms of judicial philosophy,” he added.
He went on to say that his nominee should be someone “with character” and who possesses a judicial philosophy that “suggests that there are unenumerated rights to the Constitution and all the amendments mean something, including the Ninth Amendment.”
The president hopes to announce his decision about a nominee by the end of the month.
“That’s my hope,” he said. “And I’m looking forward to their advice on how to proceed and how the hearings will be conducted.”
Biden’s thought process about the government being the one that grants rights got a serious calling out on social media where Twitter users schooled him on how the U.S. Constitution is, actually, “pretty cut and dry.”
The Constitution DOES NOT evolve. It can be amended and said amendment can be negated. It can be interpreted by the courts and said interpretation can be reversed. But the Constitution itself is fixed. It does not “evolve”.

The Constitution was created SPECIFICALLY so it would NOT change without deliberate amendments. The purpose of which was to guard against authoritarianism.
Learn some history, Biden!

No, it’s pretty cut and dry.

It evolves only when Amendments are added.
