U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield ignited a firestorm over her bizarre choice of words while referring to the war between Israel and the Hamas terror organization in Gaza.
On Tuesday, the high-level diplomat was delivering remarks at the United Nations in New York City after the U.S. had just vetoed a Security Council resolution for an immediate ceasefire when she invoked one of human history’s greatest evils in referring to the endgame in Gaza.
In an inexplicable gaffe for a top administration official, Thomas-Greenfield said that the U.S. was working to arrive at a “final solution” in the conflict, seemingly clueless that the term is the same one used by Hitler and the Nazis for the genocide of the Jewish people.

“All told, we intend to do this the right way so that we can create the right conditions for a safer, more peaceful future. And we will continue to actively engage in the hard work of direct diplomacy on the ground until we reach a final solution,” she said.
According to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum: “The term ‘Final Solution of the Jewish Question’ was a euphemism View This Term in the Glossary used by Nazi Germany’s leaders. It referred to the mass murder of Europe’s Jews. It brought an end to policies aimed at encouraging or forcing Jews to leave the German Reich and other parts of Europe. Those policies were replaced by systematic annihilation.”

Whether it was a Freudian slip or just another example of the potential perils of diversity-based hiring decisions, such a reference should have never left the lips of the top U.S. representative to the world body whether her remarks were off the cuff or written by someone else.
The ambassador’s Bidenesque gaffe drew a strong response from users on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Final Solution.”
Hmmmm…seems to me I’ve heard that phrase somewhere before… https://t.co/AoR7PdIG3J

So someone wrote these words down for her to read, a statement ending with the words “final solution”?
How can that be accidental at this level of the Government? pic.twitter.com/xgSmGmrnvc

they typically love burying little easter eggs in their speeches and communiques for their facsist admirers, but “final solution” is brazen even for that regular feature of their nastiness… https://t.co/AyspBVYTRH

Insanely grotesque to parade a Black woman in front of the media who declares the US endgame of a “Final Solution”. https://t.co/7YRe73b2IR

While the U.S. and other Security Council members may have vetoed the Arab-backed resolution for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, the Biden regime is reportedly cooking up another one that would reign in the Jewish nation before the terrorist threat has been completely eliminated.
Thomas-Greenfield’s remarks are just a complete lack of awareness but par for the course from a member of the most incompetent administration in U.S. history.
