Biden warns Republicans don’t have a clue about the ‘power of women’

President Biden sharpened his attack on MAGA Republicans while speaking at a Democratic National Committee meeting Thursday night, claiming millions of Donald Trump supporters not only “threaten our personal and economic rights, they embrace political violence.”

The president also repeated the claim that Republican voters “refuse to accept the will of the people [and] threaten our very democracy.”

Democrats are desperate to distract from high gas prices that are still nearly double what they were when Biden took office and 40-year high inflation, and the president didn’t limit the fearmongering to smearing Trump supporters. In addition to the continued overselling of the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol as an “insurrection,” Biden appeared to seize on a recent New York Times op-ed suggesting women are registering to vote in record numbers to tout the “power of women.”

Never mind that the women registering might be angry mothers looking to take schools back from the woke left — an MSNBC panel was so eager to drive excitement over the surge that they claimed pro-life conservative women were registering in solidarity with women fighting for the right to have an abortion.

“Republicans have awakened a powerful force in this country: women,” Biden said on Thursday — he attempted to spell the word, but dropped the effort after three letters, misspelling it in the process as “W. O. W…”

“No, I’m not joking. I’m not joking… Read the decision. And the court says that women have a right to vote to change this if they don’t like it at the state level. Well, guess what, pal? Here you come. Republicans don’t have a clue about the power of women,” he said. “They’re about to find out! I mean it!”

This is a regurgitation of a talking point he has uttered on several other occasions about the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Biden said at a DNC grassroots rally last month, “The MAGA Republicans have awakened to the powerful force in America: the women of this nation. The Court, in its opinion, used a phrase that women have a right to vote and change this. Well, guess what? MAGA Republicans don’t have a clue about the power of women. Let me tell you something: They are about to find out. Oh yeah. Oh, yeah.”

The president’s fear porn also included the claim that if Republicans take control of Congress in November that they will pass a national ban on abortion, and will “come after contraception and marriage equality.”

It seems clear that Democrats are pinning their midterm hopes on disparaging Republicans as an extremist threat to the nation and on doubling down on the right to kill unborn babies.
