President Biden is set to deliver a national address Tuesday afternoon from the White House in response to the unprecedented attack on Israel by Palestinian terrorists.
Israel was attacked by Hamas over the weekend with the Islamic terrorists savagely raping and killing civilians. The death toll approaches 1,000 and is expected to continue to climb with no one spared from the carnage, including children and the elderly. An unknown number of Israelis were kidnapped and are being held hostage in the Gaza Strip — there are reports that some of these victims are being used as human shields to ward off Israeli rocket attacks.
“As we continue to account for the horrors of the appalling terrorist assault against Israel this weekend and the hundreds of innocent civilians who were murdered, we are seeing the immense scale and reach of this tragedy,” Biden said in a statement. “Sadly, we now know that at least 11 American citizens were among those killed — many of whom made a second home in Israel.”
“It’s heart-wrenching. These families have been torn apart by inexcusable hatred and violence,” the release continued. “We also know that American citizens still remain unaccounted for, and we are working with Israeli officials to obtain more information as to their whereabouts.”
Biden claimed that “the safety of American citizens—whether at home or abroad—is my top priority as President” and said that “it is likely that American citizens may be among those being held by Hamas.”
“I have directed my team to work with their Israeli counterparts on every aspect of the hostage crisis,” the president said. “Including sharing intelligence and deploying experts from across the United States government to consult with and advise Israeli counterparts on hostage recovery efforts.”
“In this moment of heartbreak, the American people stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israelis,” he concluded. “The United States and the State of Israel are inseparable partners, and I affirmed to Prime Minister Netanyahu again when we spoke yesterday that the United States will continue to make sure Israel has what it needs to defend itself and its people.”
The president took heat for hosting a party for “non-political” staff at the White House on Sunday as Israel was under attack. To be clear, we have no idea if he even consumed anything at the event, the BBQ sauce headline is completely satirical, but it was a very bad look.
“Joe Biden should be in the Situation Room working around the clock to free Americans held hostage by Hamas, not barbecuing with a band on the White House lawn,” Sen. Josh Hawl;ey (R-MO) tweeted.

The U.S. president joined with the leaders of Germany, Britain, France and Italy on Monday to issue a joint statement declaring their “unequivocal condemnation of Hamas and its appalling acts of terrorism.”
While expressing their support for Israel, the leaders made it a point to differentiate between Hamas and the Palestinian people.
“All of us recognize the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people, and support equal measures of justice and freedom for Israelis and Palestinians alike. But make no mistake: Hamas does not represent those aspirations, and it offers nothing for the Palestinian people other than more terror and bloodshed,” the joint statement said.
The statement concluded: “Over the coming days, we will remain united and coordinated, together as allies, and as common friends of Israel, to ensure Israel is able to defend itself, and to ultimately set the conditions for a peaceful and integrated Middle East region.”
