Congressman sponsors bill to stop members proudly displaying Palestinian flag outside Capitol offices

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) continues to proudly display a Palestinian flag outside of her office at the U.S. Capitol days after Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israeli civilians using a cruel barbarity that shocked the civilized world.

Over the weekend, the Palestinian terror group crossed over into the Jewish state where they massacred attendees at an outdoor music festival and slaughtered defenseless civilians in their own homes with some desecrating the corpses of the victims, which they proudly displayed on video.

The anti-Semitic Democrat, according to critics, is an original member of “The Squad” of far-left House lawmakers. She failed to condemn Hamas and denounced Israel as an “apartheid” government in her response to the savage brutality of the attacks and still has the offensive flag outside her office, the Washington Examiner reported.

According to the outlet, the Palestinian flag has been there “through at least the majority of this Congress” and pictures on social media show it displayed next to other banners including the multicolored LGBTQ+ pride flag which is displayed without a hint of irony about the Muslim country’s hostility to homosexuality.

Tlaib drew criticism for being the last member of the “Hamas caucus” to issue a statement on the attack left hundreds of innocent Israeli citizens dead with nearly a dozen Americans included in the grim toll, many were also taken hostage by the primitive savages including women and children who the group has vowed to execute on live television.

“The path to the future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance,” Tlaib wrote in her belated statement.

Tlaib’s flag drew an angry reaction from one Republican lawmaker who on Monday announced that he had introduced a measure to ban the display of the controversial activist flags favored by the new breed of “woke” Democrats in Congress.

“The halls of Congress belong to America. They should be reserved for flags that embody our great nation. The Palestinian flag should not have a place here.” Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) wrote on X. “That’s why I sponsored an appropriations amendment to end this silliness.”

Back in January, the Palestinian congresswoman posted a picture of herself with the flag to Twitter, the platform that was later renamed X, with a defiant message.

“Palestinians may be banned from flying their flag under an apartheid government, but we can still proudly do it at my office. I’m proud to be a Palestinian American and I want the Palestinian people to know that not all Americans support apartheid. No one can erase our existence,” she wrote, using the term for the notorious South African system that has been adopted by Jew-haters to smear Israel.

Earlier this year, the Michigan Democrat spearheaded a “Squad” boycott of Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s speech to Congress and also headed up an event maligning the “catastrophe” of Israel’s founding which she held in defiance of former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.

“Tlaib’s office did not respond to comment about the Palestinian flag hanging outside her office amid the invasion of Israel. A spokesperson for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) did not respond to a request for comment,” according to the Washington Examiner.

None of the “Squad” members expressed support for Israel in the aftermath of the Hamas attack that left 900 dead.
