Americans were treated to a rare appearance Tuesday from President Biden, who has essentially been mailing it in since he was forced out as the Democratic nominee — on the rare occasion the 81-year-old cognitively challenged president surfaces these days, it serves as a reminder that he does not appear to be running this country.
More importantly, it prompts the all-important question, “Who is?”
No surprise, Biden uttered a tone-deaf gaffe about “doing 9/11” when asked by a media now sympathetic to his status as a lame-duck victim of an internal coup about his plans ahead of the debate between his replacement Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
“I’m going up to my granddaughter’s birthday in New York,” Biden said. “Then we’re gonna watch the debate, then tomorrow I’m doing 9/11.”

“I’ve spoken to the vice president and she seems calm, cool, and collected. I think she’s going to do great and I’m not going to tell you what advice I gave her,” he added.
Of course, Biden’s last debate resulted in his party scrambling to jettison him, so any advice he may have should be taken with a grain of salt,
As for the mundane task of “doing 9/11,” as Biden made it appear, the president is scheduled to travel to Ground Zero in New York on Wednesday, before visiting the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, PA. He will then return to the Washington, DC, area to pay a visit to the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) responded to the president’s remark in a post on X, “Joe Biden is doing what tomorrow? This man in rapid mental decline is supposedly still running this country.”
The Trump War Room added, “This is the humiliating cognitive decline Kamala Harris COVERED UP.”
