Bill Maher admits media won’t cover the ‘real corruption’ of Hunter Biden

Liberal comedian Bill Maher admitted on Wednesday that the liberal establishment press is mostly ignoring the Hunter Biden story.

However, he was unable to make the admission without taking a shot at former President Donald Trump, whom he dubiously suggested has committed more crimes than President Joe Biden’s youngest son.

“Does the Hunter Biden scandal stink? It really does. It stinks to the high heavens. That’s real corruption there that a lot of the left-wing media will not cover. But it’s nothing like what Trump did. There’s just no equivalency,” he said during an MSNBC appearance.

“But they also shouldn’t cover up what — I mean, if Don Jr. had done the things that Hunter Biden did, it would be every day [news coverage]. If they found cocaine in the White House, whose could it be? Who does cocaine around here? We can’t figure it out,” he added.

He doesn’t see an “equivalency” yet because congressional Republicans still have to definitively prove that President Biden himself profited off of his son’s shady business activities.

That being said, the evidence suggesting the president profited off of his son’s shady business dealings is abundant.

For example, The Wall Street Journal points to the time “a politically connected Kazakh businessman wired Hunter Biden $142,300 for a Porsche in 2014, shortly after he met the vice president.”

The Journal also notes that testimony from one of Hunter’s former business partners, Devon Archer, has “called into doubt the president’s assertions that he never spoke about business with his son.”

Then there’s all the evidence suggesting that Hunter was using the money from all his shady business dealings to pay his father’s bills.

“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary,” Hunter once texted his daughter Naomi, according to evidence procured from his infamous laptop.

“The laptop — infamously abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019 — does not contain any direct evidence of such money transfers, but does show that Hunter was routinely on the hook for his father’s household expenses while Joe Biden was vice president,” the New York Post notes.

“The expenses are spelled out in an email to Hunter from business partner Eric Schwerin from June 5, 2010, titled ‘JRB Bills.’ They concerned the upkeep of Joe Biden’s palatial lakefront home in the wealthy Greenville enclave of Wilmington, Del. JRB are President Biden’s initials,” according to the Post.

The expenses included $1,239 for repairing an air conditioner at “mom-mom’s cottage,” $1,475 for a painter to repair the “back wall and columns at the lake house,” $2,600 for fixing up a “stone retaining wall at the lake,” and $475 “for shutters.”

In another email sent five days later, Schwerin reportedly said he’d received the-then-vice-president’s “Delaware tax refund check.” This particular email suggests he had access to Biden’s financial information.

“Schwerin was serving as president of Rosemont Seneca Partners, Hunter Biden’s Chinese-linked investment firm. The email ties President Biden even more closely to the messy web of his son’s business dealings,” the Post notes.

But none of this evidence seems to have registered with Maher, or at least not yet. On the other hand, he’s at least willing to admit that Hunter is guilty of corruption — which is more than can be said about the droves of MSNBC fans who are now outraged and bewildered over being exposed to Maher’s thoughts:
