Bill Maher hammered hypocritical Democrats who lead “woke” cities and are screaming about illegal immigrants flooding them after promoting sanctuary cities and supporting throwing the southern border wide open.

The HBO host has had it with blue cities such as New York City whining about the influx of migrants after they pushed for it, as long as it only applied to red cities and states.

Maher made that clear on his “Club Random” podcast Sunday while accusing leftist cities of posturing, welcoming illegal immigrants until they actually arrived, and then panicking over it.

“It’s just a good example of, ‘Could everybody just stop the posturing?’” Maher told TV personality, Sharon Osbourne. “Don’t pretend that you love migrants so much and then when [border states] send them to you, you don’t like them. You know — you’re full of s*** and we can see that.”

“Yeah, you liked them when it wasn’t your problem because you’re not a border state. And then when they show up in Chicago, in New York, you’re like, ‘What the f***? What are we going to do with these people?’” Maher pointed out.

He contended that what Democrats are promoting and practicing in blue enclaves is not true liberalism. The HBO host stated that actual liberalism seeks humane solutions to move people off the streets while wokeism wants to keep them there.

“It’s again the same principle as I was saying before about the reverse of what liberalism really is. Liberalism is, ‘For the sake of humanity and compassion, can we get these people off the streets.’ Woke is, ‘How dare you ask them to move, this is their home,’” he railed. “No, it’s not!”

“There’s got to be a solution to this that is compassionate. Is it that hard to be compassionate without being an asshole?” he asked.

The points he was making were spot on.

“You know, get a barracks. They’re not that expensive. And people who don’t – if you absolutely don’t have a home, we will provide you with one, we will do our best to keep it secure, we’ll have security guards and keep the lights on, whatever. It’s not undoable,” he remarked.

“This is where the sanctuary city people got hoisted by their own petard,” Maher commented. “Liberal states have said, ‘We believe in the concept of a sanctuary city,’ and then the states where the migrants were coming over the border like Florida and Texas, they said, ‘Oh, okay, well, we’ll send them to you then.’ Of course, they didn’t like it.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) is warning that the Big Apple no longer has any more room for illegal immigrants. The city has reportedly received approximately 91,000 new arrivals from the border. He can’t seem to understand that leftist policies have caused the catastrophe that New York City is experiencing.

Instead of using common sense and admitting that unfettered illegal immigration has to be stopped, Adams blamed Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott for his woes in May. He accused him of targeting black-run cities with migrant buses in a scathing statement.

“This weekend, we learned that Governor Abbott is once again deciding to play politics with people’s lives by resuming the busing of asylum seekers to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Washington, DC,” the former NYPD captain wrote in his press release, not referencing the fact that Texas is overrun with illegal immigrants thanks to President Biden’s policies.

“Not only is this behavior morally bankrupt and devoid of any concern for the well-being of asylum seekers, but it is also impossible to ignore the fact that Abbott is now targeting five cities run by black mayors,” Adams falsely stated, unabashedly throwing the race card.

Eric Adams, on Monday: “From this moment on, it’s downhill.”

He didn’t explain that the hill is in Central Park.

“Democrats were always supposed to be sort of the ‘Well, we know how to make government work.’ And a lot of them did. Obama did. Hillary Clinton would have. They’re wonky people,” Adams ridiculously commented.

During Maher’s podcast, he stated that he would support President Biden in 2024 if he were running against former President Trump. Then he confusingly turned around and said he was disappointed with Biden’s lack of “competency.”

“So when Biden got in, I was like, ‘Really? I thought you were that kind of guy.’ But you didn’t know how to pull out of Afghanistan. You can’t seem to, like, get a thing going on the border that’s compassionate but not stupid,” Maher charged.

“Again, the competency worries me more than ideology. Like it makes me think no matter what politics you people are, you’re the same person who can’t get anything done,” he asserted.
