Teen pop star Olivia Rodrigo made the mistake of appearing onstage with ever iconic Billy Joel, who appeared to be less than impressed with her vocal talents.
At least, the look on his face suggested as much.
The former Disney Chanel TV starlet was invited on stage by Joel during a performance that’s part of his ongoing residency at Madison Square Garden, according to Yahoo Sports.
“With Joel and his band backing her up, she sang her 2021 smash ‘Deja Vu,’ a perfect selection for the occasion since it not only name-checks Billy Joel, but also refers to his 1983 hit ‘Uptown Girl,” the outlet reported.
The article also claimed Rodrigo “brought down the house,” before noting that “it wasn’t even her gig.” You be the judge, paying close attention to Joel’s face:
