Blinken dressed his son up like little Zelensky for White House Halloween party

The once-torrid national love affair with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may have cooled down but the hero worship runs stronger than ever in Washington, D.C.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken showed his love for the money-grubbing eastern European strongman by dressing up his young son in a miniature version of the grubby army green costume that passes for Zelensky’s Sunday best and trotted him out at the White House Halloween gala along with his daughter who was dressed like a Ukraine flag.

Biden didn’t give little “Zelensky” the 60 + billion that he’s demanding that Congress send to the war torn country but he did reportedly drop a package of M & M’s with the presidential seal on them in Blinken’s son’s bag and didn’t even cough on him as he did with some of the other children at the event.

The combination of Blinken’s kids holding out trick-or-treat bags for candy and Zelensky’s begging for billions was too much for X users to resist and they took to the platform formerly known as Twitter where the jokes just wrote themselves.

In a sign of just how much the shine has come off of Zelensky’s halo, Time magazine dropped a bunker buster on the rapidly shrinking Ukrainian leader.

Less than a year after the publication bestowed the high honor of “Person of the Year” upon Zelensky, the new article paints a far less flattering picture of delusion, denial, and corruption.

The stunning article gleans insight from some of the Ukrainian leader’s intimates, one who said that “Zelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it,” a feeling that is worsening as the latest aid package remains stalled in Congress.

According to Time’s Simon Shuster who penned the piece, “Amid all the pressure to root out corruption, I assumed, perhaps naively, that officials in Ukraine would think twice before taking a bribe or pocketing state funds. But when I made this point to a top presidential adviser in early October, he asked me to turn off my audio recorder so he could speak more freely. ‘Simon, you’re mistaken,’ he says. ‘People are stealing like there’s no tomorrow,’” hardly the type of PR that the Zelensky regime needs with tens of billions at stake.

“Despite the recent setbacks on the battlefield, he does not intend to give up fighting or to sue for any kind of peace. On the contrary, his belief in Ukraine’s ultimate victory over Russia has hardened into a form that worries some of his advisers. It is immovable, verging on the messianic. ‘He deludes himself,” one of his closest aides tells me in frustration. “We’re out of options. We’re not winning. But try telling him that,'” the Time article reads.
