Karmelo Anthony’s legal team is seeking a new trial, but those efforts may have run into a buzzsaw.
The black teen was convicted of murder for fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf, an unarmed white high school student, during a confrontation in the bleachers of a high school stadium near Dallas.
The jury rejected Anthony’s claim of self-defense after Metcalf allegedly pushed him, and bombshell texts revealed in court this week suggest that Anthony was allegedly “spoiling for a fight” the day he killed the 17-year-old at a Frisco high school track meet, according to the Daily Mail.
The texts show that Anthony appeared to be fantasizing about violence, threatening to put “bullets…coming out of ur chest,” and declaring, “When I stab somebody I’m gonna lick their blood off the blade.”
Two hours before he fatally stabbed Metcalf in the heart, Anthony reportedly texted, “I’m lowkey on the verge.” The term means being right at a boundary line, about to cross over into an action or event.

There’s also a report that Anthony’s girlfriend told school officials that she broke up with him the morning of the stabbing, claiming that he was stalking her and that she was afraid of him.
Collin County prosecutor Bill Wirskye said Anthony had a history of violence and wanted to stab someone.
“There is a text message where he fantasizes about stabbing someone and licking the blood off the blade,” Wirkskye said, adding that Anthony was obsessed with starting fights, and had previously been taken to a special program at LSU for kids who can’t keep their hands to themselves.

You know the defense’s case was a joke when the prosecution willingly omitted those texts from the trial with the knowledge that the witnesses, videos, and forensics were more than enough to put his ass away.

The social rule that has developed, especially in the black community and its progressive patrons, is that no black person can ever be found guilty of any offense, no matter how heinous and even if he admits it, because racism. Given these recent proofs of Karmelo Anthony’s…

That would be the ultimate irony: the little shitbag demanding a getting a new trial, only to receive the death penalty this time around.

Uh oh. The defense is now going to have to release 20 pictures of Karmelo in 2nd grade to prove he’s innocent.
