‘Bring it on!’ Ted Lieu claims he’s ‘thrilled’ over Jack Smith testimony, urges ‘everyone’ to watch

Trump-hating New York prosecutor Jack Smith will be in the hot seat on Thursday, if Republicans do their jobs.

Smith will sit for a second time before the bipartisan House Judiciary Committee to face questions about his two prosecutions of President Donald Trump.

Smith will publicly testify following a lengthy closed-door session in December that Trump blasted for being private.

“I’d rather see him testify publicly because there’s no way he can answer the questions,” Trump said at the time.

The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan, along with fellow Republicans Chip Roy and Matt Gaetz are expected to level allegations of misconduct and overreach against Smith.

Democrats Ted Lieu and Ro Khanna reportedly plan to bring evidence against Trump.

“Everyone should watch,” Lieu said on X, claiming to be “thrilled” about the looming public testimony.

Meanwhile, Roy appears to be ready for Smith, saying he “was abusing his power… using DC as his playground to do his dirty work — running everything through subpoenas and using judges like Boasberg and Howell to push it all through…”

“Then suddenly he ‘moves’ to South Florida…,” Roy continued. “and in 2024 a federal judge completely SLAPS DOWN his whole operation.”

“And even after that… he STILL kept operating and signing materials as Special Counsel — despite being ruled inappropriate!”

“This guy has been abusing authority, and we need to EXPOSE it.”

Sadly, plenty of X users weren’t planning to hold their collective breath for any meaningful accountability, as can be seen by the comments below.

That doesn’t mean the fighting spirit is over, as Lieu’s plea for “everyone to watch” the testimony was accepted by those who wish to see Smith go down.
