Caitlyn Jenner: The left has ‘hijacked and politicized’ trans community and is ‘driving this country apart’

Fox News contributor Caitlyn Jenner blasted the “radical left” for “driving this country apart” with identity politics in the aftermath of a reported incident in which female high school athletes were banned from their own Vermont locker room because they were uncomfortable changing in front of a biological male who now identifies as transgender.

As American Wire reported, the girls volleyball team at Randolph Union High School (RUHS) was booted from its own locker room after the athletes were forced to change in front of the boy, who allegedly made an inappropriate comment as they did so.

The incident is said to have triggered a dispute that ended with the girls being investigated for harassment and bullying.

RUHS volleyball player Blake Allen bravely spoke out about the event in the hopes her story might bring about a change to the Vermont Agency of Education’s policy that allows boys to invade the private spaces of girls if they decide they, too, are one of the girls.

According to Jenner, who joined “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning, the school’s response to the girls’ concerns illustrates how “out of whack” everything is in today’s world.

“Here we go again,” Jenner stated when asked to comment on the story. “First, let’s take a step back.”

“The left has hijacked and politicized yet another minority group in our wonderful country, the good old USA. And this time, again, it’s trans people,” she said. “As a result of their radical left and their use of identity politics agenda, they’re really driving this country apart.”

“I thought Joe Biden was supposed to be the great unifier, and all they’re doing is driving us apart,” she noted.

Ever a voice of reason, Jenner broke down the obvious problem with Vermont’s policy, which puts the feelings of one student over the natural discomfort and concerns of a whole group of girls.

“Now, does this trans girl have the right under Vermont law to be on the team and to use the locker room?” Jenner asked. “Yes, she does.”

“Do these girls have the right to comment and tell the school board how uncomfortable they are being in a locker room with basically a biological boy with a penis?” she continued. “Absolutely, they do.”

The issue, Jenner said, is with the school.

“And what is the school’s solution to this?” she asked. “Well, let’s ban the ten girls who complain, the complainers, put them off in the corner in their own little part of the locker room and don’t do anything when it comes to this trans person.”

“So honestly,” she concluded, “everything is out of whack right now and these things have to stop.”

While you won’t see many conservatives disagreeing with her current comments on the subject, it’s an evolved position for Jenner to take.

Way back in 2016, the Olympic athlete celebrated on Twitter when she was granted use of the women’s locker room at the Sherwood Country Club.

“Grateful for my new locker at Sherwood,” she tweeted at the time. “#welcome #acceptance”
