California teachers ‘deceiving’ parents, recruiting students to LGBTQ clubs, report exposes

The California Teachers Association, one of the most powerful unions in the country, hasn’t just been surveilling students to better identify which ones to try to recruit into the LGBT clubs they’ve created.

According to Abigail Shrier, the journalist who publicly exposed the union’s plot last month, the CTA has also been trying to hide its recruitment activities from parents.

This week Shrier shared video footage with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson showing a union member encouraging teachers to hold the LGBT club meetings during lunch so that the children’s parents are less likely to find out.

“Lunch time is kind of that sweet spot where the kids don’t need to come earlier, stay late, and [it] kind of eliminates a little bit of that parent interaction,” the video shows a union member named Blaire Wyatt saying during a teleconference.

“If there are kids who would like to attend but maybe their parents are unaware that they’re interested in participating or unaware that they are out at school. So if you can get it to happen at lunch, that seems like a really good structure to, you know, protect the kids’ identities and protect and allow them to attend.”

Speaking with Carlson late Thursday on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Shrier argued that this deception is purposeful.

“The deception is actually the point — it’s explicit,” she said.

She added that she’s recently seen videos showing union members encouraging teachers to use non-obvious names for the LGBT clubs they create.

“Even at the elementary school level — eight and nine-year-olds — [they’re] telling them to rename the clubs things like PRISM club so that the parents won’t know what’s going on in the club and won’t be able to, you know, supervise,” she said.

These findings prompted Carlson to ask, “Since when are teachers allowed to get involved in these sex lives of minor children without the knowledge of the parents? It seems like a crime to me.”

According to Shrier, union members believe that even prepubescent children “need support in their sexual identity.”

“They believe it is their job to provide that,” she said.

The problem, she continued, is that this isn’t a case “of parents coming in and saying their child had a particular sexual or gender identity and they wanted the school to support it.”

It’s a case of teachers purposefully seeking to recruit — or some might say indoctrinate or even “groom” — students into LGBT ideology.

“What the California Teachers Association is doing is they are deciding how to recruit students to these clubs, how to coach them in, you know, solidifying this gender identity or sex or sexual orientation identity. And they’re doing this by deceiving parents, specifically telling teachers how to keep the existence of the clubs and the membership from the parents,” Shrier said.

Asked by Carlson whether anything “can be done to stop” this, Shrier encouraged parents to preferably remove their children from public schools or, if that’s not an option, try to preempt left-wing teachers and their unions by being the ones to broach the subject of gender with their kids.

“I think that parents need to get really explicit with kids about things like gender and tell them what’s being taught in schools is nonsense, and in some cases, if the parents are able to do it, they really should pull their kids out of these schools, because this kind of nonsense spreads,” she said.

Yes, it does.

Published on Nov. 18th, Shrier’s original report documented how the union was encouraging the monitoring of student behavior and the collection of Internet data so that teachers could identify potential recruits into their LGBT clubs.

The problem, apparently, was that students weren’t themselves showing interest in the clubs.

“So we started to brainstorm at the end of the 2020 school year, what are we going to do? We got to see some kids in-person at the end of last year, not many but a few. So we started to try and identify kids. When we were doing our virtual learning – we totally stalked what they were doing on Google, when they weren’t doing school work,” one school teacher said during one of the teleconferences Shrier had overheard.

“One of them was googling ‘Trans Day of Visibility.’ And we’re like, ‘Check.’ We’re going to invite that kid when we get back on campus. Whenever they follow the Google Doodle links or whatever, right, we make note of those kids and the things that they bring up with each other in chats or email or whatever.”

Thanks to Shrier’s reporting, this specific club was suspended by the teacher’s school district:

However, as she hinted at during her Fox News appearance Thursday, for every club being shuttered, many more are likely popping up in schools across the country.
