Victimhood remained a hallmark of leftist attention-seekers as one activist actor leveled some hefty accusations against Candace Cameron Bure over gender identity that the Christian celebrity readily smacked down.
Taking to TikTok, Netflix actor Ben Pierce, a proponent of transgenderism who considers himself a woman named Miss Benny, fired off a series of seemingly unprompted shots against Bure about as grounded in reality as himself.
Having appeared in a bit role on two episodes of “Fuller House,” the continuation of the ABC sitcom “Full House” that began in the late eighties, Pierce sounded like White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as he touted his sexuality which he also contended was problematic to Bure.
“I was on ‘Fuller House,’ I played Casey, the first gay character on the ‘Full House’ franchise,” he said before drawing his attention to Bure’s character of DJ Tanner without specifically naming the actress. “One of the Tanner sisters is like very publicly ‘not for the girls,’ if that makes sense.”

“I remember I got sat down by the writers and the studio to basically warn me how this person, allegedly, was trying to get the character removed and not have a queer character on the show,” Pierce continued and asserted, “I was also sort of warned and prepared that this person’s fan base might be encouraged to target me specifically.”
Little mystery surrounded who the actor was believed to be accusing as Jodie Sweetin, the actress who played Bure’s sister, Stephanie Tanner, has routinely shown herself to be in line with leftist causes, whereas her Christian colleague has taken a stand in the entertainment industry by separating herself from a lucrative deal with the Hallmark Channel to hold true to conservative values with the relatively new network, Great American Family.
‘The fact that this teenage actor is coming in to make jokes about wearing, like, a scarf is suddenly like a target from an adult is like, crazy to me,” Pierce charged and went on, “So, to this day — despite working on the show every day for two weeks straight — I have only had a conversation with one of the Tanner sisters.”
In a statement released to multiple outlets, Bure defended herself against the accusations and said, “I never asked Miss Benny’s character to be removed from ‘Fuller House’ and did not ask the writers, producers or studio executives to not have queer characters on the show.”
“‘Fuller House’ has always welcomed a wide range of characters. I thought Miss Benny did a great job as ‘Casey’ on the show,” she added.
Along with the lasting work with leftist co-star Sweetin, Bure’s claim appeared supported by cast member Juan Pablo Di Pace who came out as gay during the show’s production and, unlike the limited appearance of Pierce, had been in all but seven of the series’ episodes.
Furthermore, Bure trampled on the activist actor’s claims of her not even wanting to speak with him as she pointed out, “We didn’t share any scenes together, so we didn’t get a chance to talk much while filming on set. I wish Miss Benny only the best.”
Much like her brother Kirk Cameron, Bure’s outspoken beliefs have continued to make her a target of ideologues who demand absolute fealty to their causes.
