The liberal media are quick to pounce on stories that essentially paint ICE agents as evildoers, rarely bothering to get the backstory in their rush to air what appears to be inflammatory footage of federal officers violating the rights of those being detained.
One such incident, pushed this week by CBS News, shows a woman the network identified as a “U.S. citizen” being “forcibly removed from her car by federal agents… after she refused to present her driver’s license and roll down her window when stopped.”
A U.S. citizen was forcibly removed from her car by federal agents in Key Largo, Florida on Wednesday after she refused to present her driver’s license and roll down her window when stopped, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

As is often the case, there is more to the story than meets the eye. In this case, the woman reportedly was driving a car that belonged to her illegal immigrant boyfriend, and there was speculation that she refused to identify herself to protect her boyfriend.
The portrayal of ICE agents as jack-booted government thugs comes on the heels of an ambush attack on two National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom while 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe fights for his life.
Lost in the mix here is that the media seems to push the idea that complying with law enforcement is optional — which would certainly explain a lot.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
Why did you leave this part of the story out? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/4fzpCgKeqT

You left out that the registered owner of the car, her boyfriend, is an illegal alien.
CBS is fake news.

Soooooo, just like any other routine traffic stop where someone decides they’re above following lawful commands from an LEO.
But please, keep pounding that panic drum and cranking out your round-the-clock manufactured outrage.
Your commitment to hysterical, left-flavored…

How is this news? What was she pulled over for? What was the cause of her removal? Do we know anything?
Report enough facts to establish the story and not just implicate rage.— Mike Winger (@MikeWingerii) December 5, 2025
You mean she was detained while aiding and abetting her criminal illegal boyfriend. Real convenient for you to leave that part out.

You are required by law, even as a legal citizen, to present your driver’s license at a traffic stop. Play stupid games…

Okay but you’re required to roll down your window and present ID when you’re pulled over in Florida. It’s against the law to refuse https://t.co/FaPP580yVW
