The Center for Disease Control appears to be blatantly defying President Donald Trump and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The defiance reportedly comes in the form of participation in a vaccine meeting with the WHO. Trump used an executive order to ban communication between the CDC and WHO after withdrawing from the organization, but a CDC spokesperson told the Daily Mail that they “will be actively participating virtually” this week.
“The weeklong meeting began in London on Monday, with leaders from both the CDC and FDA in attendance. Neither agencies publicly announced their plans to attend,” the outlet reported. “But the two government agencies would likely have had to seek an exemption from the Trump administration due to its ban on all communications with the WHO.”
The move has prompted social media to wonder who is really in charge:
i guess they’re fired

@RobertKennedyJr needs to be decisive and fire these insubordinates ASAP. Otherwise he will lose respect and control of the agency he was appointed to run.

We’ll see how long that lasts. This admin is not shy about axing employees or don’t produce or step out of line.

That’s an exact example of the actual deep state. The bureaucracy feels they are in charge.
