The federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s shady business activities has reportedly reached a “critical juncture,” with investigators now considering filing charges against him, though likely not until after the 2022 midterm elections.
“While no final decision has been made on whether to bring charges against President Joe Biden’s son, sources say the probe has intensified in recent months along with discussions among Delaware-based prosecutors, investigators running the probe and officials at Justice Department headquarters,” CNN reported Wednesday.
“Discussions recently have centered around possibly bringing charges that could include alleged tax violations and making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction.”
According to a separate source who spoke with Fox News, investigators are also considering charges for “foreign lobbying violations.”

The probe into Hunter is being led by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who was appointed to his post by former President Donald Trump.
“Weiss is one of a handful of appointees of former President Donald Trump who were kept on by the Biden administration because they were overseeing politically sensitive investigations,” CNN notes.
His Trump ties seemingly bode well for those hoping to see Hunter Biden held responsible for his litany of shady behavior.
However, even if charges are eventually filed, they likely won’t be filed until sometime after the 2022 midterms.
“Justice Department memoranda advise prosecutors against bringing any cases or taking any overt investigative steps with the purpose of impacting an election or providing an advantage or disadvantage to any candidate,” according to CNN.
“[Attorney General Merrick] Garland issued a memo in May to prosecutors reiterating the department’s stance on election year sensitivities,” the outlet notes.
Many observers are eager to see something, anything, happen given the obvious corruption inherent in the younger Biden’s extraordinary business dealings and connections.
This corruption has been laid bare for the public by the slow release of photos, videos, emails, and text messages from Hunter’s infamous laptop.
The latest release, a batch of text messages, was published by the Daily Mail on Tuesday and showed Hunter fretting over the fate of his gangster-like business associates and clients.

One associate was Ye Jianming, the former chairman of the Chinese oil giant CEFC, who it turns out has been in a Chinese prison since 2018 for corrupt behavior.
“The chairman of China’s CEFC China Energy, the private firm that has agreed to buy a nearly $9.1 billion stake in Russian oil major Rosneft, has been investigated for suspected economic crimes, a person with direct knowledge of the matter said,” Reuters reported at the time of his arrest.
“Ye Jianming, who founded the company in 2002, was taken in for questioning this year, the person said without saying which authorities were involved or whether the probe was continuing. The person declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.”
One “client” meanwhile was Patrick Ho, whom Hunter described in the texts as “Ye’s right-hand man.”
“Court records reveal there was a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant against Ho showing federal law enforcement suspected he had links to the Chinese intelligence services, though he was not charged with any espionage offenses,” according to the Daily Mail.
It seems like everyone linked to Hunter is a bad guy, including perhaps even the “big guy” himself.
As previously reported, some of Hunter’s texts referenced a “big guy” whom most observers suspect was then-Vice President Joe Biden.
The Biden White House has now repeatedly said there was nothing wrong with Hunter selling influence to Communist China.
Maybe that’s because Joe Biden is the “big guy” who was getting 10%?

Now that the NYT and WP have belatedly reported that the emails on Hunter’s laptop are (and always have been) legitimate, when will we see stories about “10% to the Big Guy”? Will the press ask the WH if Joe Biden is the Big Guy. This story is not over. It’s just beginning.

Why did Hunter Biden’s business partner make 27 visits to the White House while Joe Biden served as VP? Was Joe Biden “the big guy” for whom Hunter was holding a 10% cut of a multi-million-dollar deal with a Chinese energy company? America deserves answers!
— Senator Bill Hagerty (@SenatorHagerty) May 9, 2022
The “big guy” apparently got 10 percent of Hunter’s cut, and the evidence strongly suggests the current president was indeed this man.
The evidence includes the fact that Biden frequently met with Hunter’s corrupt business partners, Biden shared a bank account with Hunter, Biden had Hunter’s business partners file his taxes, and Biden “wrote a college recommendation letter for the son of Hunter’s Chinese business partner, Jonathan Li,” as reported in April by the Daily Mail.
Observers are also eager to see Hunter be held responsible for his illegal purchase of a gun, in part because of the blatant hypocrisy of his father, who purports to be a zealous gun control advocate, except for when it comes to his own family.
