Radio personality Charlamagne tha God suggested that President Donald J. Trump will pull off one hell of an October surprise by nuking Iran to “disrupt the midterms.”
With the most important midterm elections in the nation’s history now less than six weeks away, with gas and diesel prices spiking and the Democrats poised to potentially retake control of at least the House, Trump is going to need to pull a rabbit out of his hat to prevent GOP losses.
And according to Charlamagne, that could be “something extremely stupid” like going nuclear on the Islamic Republic.
The host, whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, made his wild prediction on Monday’s edition of “The Breakfast Club,” his nationally syndicated talk radio show that reaches a huge black audience.
“There’s gonna be something extremely stupid that happens in Iran before the midterms,” he proclaimed to his co-hosts.
“Donald Trump is gonna escalate this situation in Iran right before the midterms, I’m telling you right now. We’re not gonna have a normal election. There will be a huge disruption, and it’s gonna be centered around this Iran war. If you ever didn’t want a president to have the nuclear codes, it’s right now,” Charlamagne predicted.
He referred to the president’s recent comments that he could soon go big in Iran in a conversation with Fox News’ Trey Yingst and that one of his choices on the table is “wiping Iran out.”
A “Breakfast Club” caller said that “Charlamagne could be right,” to which the host responded, “Oh, I know I’m right. I’m telling you right now that he’s gonna escalate things in Iran because he’s going to use that to disrupt the midterms in some way, shape, or form, or maybe even to stop the midterms altogether.”
“He’s gonna do something extremely stupid,” Charlamagne tha God claimed.
“The conflict is already happening,” the host told another caller.
“He’s gonna escalate it, this is the thing that bothers me the most,” he added as the caller exclaimed, “He’s got the [nuclear] codes.”
“He’s definitely got the nuclear codes,” Charlamagne responded. “We don’t pay attention to nothing because everything happens so fast.”
“The president described the current choices on the table as ‘wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically or making a deal,’” Yingst said of his conversation with Trump. “He added, ‘My question is if and when do I blow the entire nation up? They better behave.’”
“My question is, if and when do I blow the entire nation up?” President Trump told Fox News. “They better behave.”

Trump shocked the world in early April when he seemed to suggest that he was poised to wipe Iran off the face of the map.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?” Trump said in the April 7 post to Truth Social.
But he didn’t dial up the nuclear strikes at the time, although the option remains on the table.
The president has ripped the host as a “racist sleazebag” and criticized McKelvey’s use of the Almighty in his professional name.
“Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?” Trump asked.
