Charlie Kirk’s closest ally comes out swinging against latest assassination footage conspiracy

One of the late Charlie Kirk’s closest allies has come out swinging against the latest conspiracy theory surrounding the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder’s assassination last month.

Andrew Kolvet, the executive producer of the “Charlie Kirk Show,” used Monday’s episode of the program to debunk the claim that there was something suspicious about how Kirk’s assistant Mikey McCoy had behaved in the moments after his assassination.

According to the Daily Mail, the conspiracy theory was “first published by two little-known” influencers on the Internet before being picked up by grand conspiracy theorist and influencer Candace Owens.

Owens, in particular, has spent weeks essentially relitigating Kirk’s murder despite the case having already been solved by the authorities. To hear her tell it, TPUSA may have had something to do with it.

Speaking on Monday’s episode of her show, she claimed that McCoy acted funny in the moments immediately after Kirk’s death.

“Mikey was behind the tent when Charlie got shot, and Mikey, in less than a second, does something that I find to be quite strange — he puts his phone to his ear and he begins a conversation,” she said, adding that she didn’t see him dial a number.

“[When I later asked McCoy who he was on the phone with], no response,” she continued. “Weird. If that was me… I would instantly hit back… Here’s my call log. Here’s who I was on the phone with.”

Kolvet wasn’t pleased with the attacks.

“Someone made a video that is attacking Mikey, Charlie’s friend, Charlie’s chief of staff, a guy all of us know, a guy who we’ve seen on the show here the last few weeks,” he said on Monday.

“They are attacking him, claiming based on a few seconds of clips that he allegedly had like a nonchalant or calm reaction to Charlie’s murder. I’m just going to be blunt about this. This is an extremely disgusting attack,” he added.

Kolvet continued by saying that he’d spoken to McCoy about the immediate moments after Kirk’s death, but that McCoy had been so traumatized at the time that he struggled to remember what exactly he’d done in those moments.

McCoy did, however, recall speaking with Kirk’s wife, Erica Kirk, and his pastor, Robert McCoy, after Kirk’s murder.

“Charlie had given me similar instructions — if anything ever happens to me, you call Erika, and he drilled that into Mikey’s brain so that when this moment of trauma happened, that he turned around and he knew he had to do it,” Kolvet explained.

“This is part of the video allegations here, they think that, they’re alleging that he was on the phone immediately. He was not. He was taking social videos, which he would send to our group chat, which we would then put on Charlie’s social while the event was happening,” he continued.

Kolvet also noted that McCoy had in fact already been on the phone when Kirk’s assassin opened fire.

“It was so blaringly loud, and he was so shell-shocked, he put his fingers in his ear, but his phone was still in his hand,” Kolvet explained.

Despite this fierce defense of McCoy, Owens remains unconvinced.

“My best advice to Mikey McCoy would be to simply release his call logs to clarify matters to any of the content creators who are asking questions,” she told the Daily Mail. “Truth is clarifying.”

During Monday’s episode of her show, she also seemed to diss Kolvet and other TPUSA members, saying she had thought she “would be fighting for answers for what actually happened on 9/10 alongside Charlie Kirk’s inner circle.”

As noted earlier, it’s already known what happened — a psychotic, pro-trans leftist named Tyler Robinson killed Kirk out of anger with the TPUSA’s bold critiques of trans ideology.
