A promotion featuring a showering Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may have caught users’ attention, but it was Cheryl Hines’ use of a noted acronym that had some leftists’ eyes bugging out.
The short reprieve from political mailers came to an abrupt end this week as even companies some were sure they’d never subscribed to began filling email inboxes with promotions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Hines, the Emmy-nominated wife of President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services was among those taking advantage of the sales season when she promoted her health and beauty company with a “MAHA” twist.
In a video shared to her Instagram story that had gone viral on X, the actress appeared in a bathroom holding a spray bottle and a body cream container from her company Hines + Young as she laughingly chided her husband for his “H+Y content interruption.”
“No! You can’t — you can’t take a shower, I’m doing a video,” she told Kennedy who could be seen from the chest up behind Hines’ head. “You’ve gotta give me a second. I’m doing a video for Hines + Young.”

An additional image of the story showed an array of products from the health and beauty company, including a candle with the normal lid replaced with the MAHA acronym and its spelled-out form, “Make America Healthy Again.”
The offer of 60% off the products for Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday was met with cheers and jeers as the riffed slogan of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” that remained a major focus of Kennedy’s involvement in the incoming administration managed to politicize what would have otherwise seemed to a be a common sense aim to better the wellbeing of all Americans.
For every rave review of the MAHA candle, there were as many accusing Hines of participating in grift to financially benefit off of her husband’s alignment with the president-elect.

The reaction from those on the left continued to show an unwillingness to work toward the inclusion they were so fond of touting, a point Hines herself had spoken to when her husband had suspended his own campaign to endorse Trump in favor of building a unity party.
“I deeply respect the decision Bobby made to run on the principle of unity,” she said in part. “Over the last year and a half, I have met some extraordinary people from all parties — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. It’s been my experience that the vast majority of all parties are truly good people who want the best for our country and for each other. It has been an eye-opening, transformative, and endearing journey.”
The decision has been made to suspend my husband’s, Robert Kennedy Jr.’s, presidency and I’d like to extend a sincere, deeply heartfelt thank you to every person who has worked so tirelessly and lovingly on his campaign. They have accomplished feats that were said to be…

Meanwhile, Kennedy, who’d previously made waves for shirtless workout videos and other feats uncommon for 70-year-old politicians, continued to live out his objective to see America healthy again, sharing a Thanksgiving moment with his wife as he was seen deep frying a turkey in tallow — while barefoot.
