Chicago set to be invaded by hordes of Israel-haters targeting ‘Killer Kamala’ – DNC attendees cautioned

As planning measures appeared certain to raise the temperatures of an estimated 100,000 protesters against Israel descending on the DNC, attendees were cautioned on one detail for hotel reservations.

Since Chicago was announced as the host city for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, parallels to the previous tumultuous affair in 1968 readily cropped up. With four days of official events beginning Monday, it appeared protesters were ready for seven days worth of outrage as reports indicated at least 125 Hamas sympathizing groups were converging on the Windy City for their “March on the DNC 2024” rallies.

Hatem Abudayyeh, chair of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, spoke with The Washington Post and said, “Our target is the Democratic Party, and the leadership of the party and ‘Killer Kamala’ is one of them.”

The group, which had previously labeled President Joe Biden “Genocide Joe,” was among those expected to bring at least 30,000 on the venues where Vice President Kamala Harris was expected to nominated to lead the ticket Monday, along with Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws.

The latter had resorted to a federal lawsuit filed by the ACLU after the city had attempted to reject permits to protest, in a number of instances because the routes requested sought to get too close to the event. Meanwhile, indications showed the violent scenes that had overtaken college campuses were expected in Chicago as business owners boarded up their windows.

“The supporters of [the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz presidential ticket] are so radical that regardless of what happens at the DNC Convention the prospects are frightening.” New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R) told the New York Post. “If the radical left is quiet and happy, it demonstrates just how crazy the Democrats’ leadership has become, because the most radical of radicals are pleased with the direction they’re taking.”

“If disruptions take place and the protests turn extreme or violent, it will demonstrate just how unhinged these people are. It’s a no win for America,” he added.

To his point, Axios reported, “House Democrats attending the Democratic National Convention next week are being advised by congressional security officials not to book hotel rooms under their own names or engage with protesters if confronted, Axios has learned. the guidance comes as some Democratic lawmakers are fearful about their safety after being rattled by a series of disruptive pro-Palestinian protests since the Israel-Hamas war started last year.”

In addition to being advised to use false names as it was detailed hotels were already receiving inquiries about who was staying in their establishments, a message from the House sergeant-at-arms office advised, “If you are confronted by protesters, try not to engage and report to [Capitol Police].”

A senior House Democrat said law enforcement warned members “not to go to a certain area, because they expect violence.”

“The protesters aren’t staying in a designated protest site…and there are people who are going to go and really try to cause trouble,” the lawmaker added as the Uncommitted National Movement, which had launched a protest vote against Biden during the primary as part of an effort to leverage support for a ceasefire in Gaza, had vowed to stand against Harris if she did not align with their wishes that included an arms embargo on Israel.

“Here’s the thing with these [pro-Hamas] lunatics. If you feed their hate, they only get emboldened to triple down,” former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin (R) told the Post. “There’s a 100% chance that they continue to expose their own ugliness during the DNC. It’s a lose-lose for Jewish Americans who would be terrified of what a Kamala Harris administration would look like.”

Along with attempts to control protesters access to Democrats in Chicago, Axios reported that the U.S. Secret Service had been “coordinating with all levels of law enforcement agencies” and that they had “provided over 400 hours of training to officers specifically for this event.”
