Chris Wallace grills Charlamagne tha God on Trump’s gains with black voters: ‘How do you explain that?’

A troublesome phenomenon is striking fear into the hearts of Democrats as their propaganda is no longer working on their most devoutly loyal demographic and CNN’s Chris Wallace put the question to Charlamagne tha God of why black voters are defecting to Trump.

Polling for President Joe Biden has been consistently dismal as the geriatric career politician seeks to bamboozle Americans into rewarding him with a second term but alarm bells have been sounding over recent numbers showing that blacks are increasingly receptive to the GOP frontrunner.

Trying to get a better understanding of what’s going on and why, Wallace quizzed the host of the nationally syndicated “The Breakfast Club” radio show on the latest episode of “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace” to get a better grasp on the unthinkable from a man who has had his finger on the pulse of black America.

“So if you believe the polls, Donald Trump is picking up support among black voters, and especially among young black voters. How do you explain that?” Wallace asked.

“Okay, if you have a community and I can’t speak for all black people, black people aren’t monolithic. But I’m just telling you based on conversations that I’ve had, and what I see,” responded Charlamagne tha God whose real name is Lenard Larry McKelvey.

“If you have a community who feels like they’ve never been spoken to, you know, by the government, ever. Like American government has, you know, ignored them, not paying them any attention. And let’s just say all of a sudden you start getting checks in the mail one day,” he continued. “The stimulus checks — what they call stimis in the hood — for $1,200. And this man’s name is on them — Donald Trump. For the first time in probably forever, you just simply feel seen, and you can talk to your next-door neighbor about actually receiving something from the American government.”

He added, “Another thing, the First Step Act, you know, people see the First Step Act. If you know somebody who…”

Wallace interrupted, “The criminal justice reform…,” referring to the sentencing reform law signed by Trump in 2018.

“If you, if you know somebody who actually came home because of the First Step Act, and you have Donald Trump taking credit for that, that’s another thing you can point to and say, ‘Man, Donald Trump, not only let one of my people out of jail, he also sent us money.’ This is the guy taking credit for all of these things happening and I think, believe it or not, that stuff is having an impact,” Charlamagne answered.

“Do you think that Democratic politicians take the black vote for granted and get offended when somebody like you just asks them a question? Just challenges them?” Wallace asked.

“Oh, 100%. You know, and anytime you’re a person that people think is left-leaning, if you just simply question what the Democratic Party is doing, you either get accused of being a closeted Republican or, you know, attempting to help Donald Trump win elections,” the talk radio personality replied.

As far as Democrats taking blacks for granted, what better example is there than Biden’s remarks to Charlamagne during a 2020 appearance on “The Breakfast Club” as he took his song and dance to the show’s largely black national audience?

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden told the host.

The ultimate nightmare scenario for Biden will be a sufficient number of black voters fleeing the Democratic Party plantation to swing the election to Trump and the poll numbers are a sign that they’re eyeing the gates.
