Christina Pushnaw crushes Laura Loomer’s hopes: ‘I don’t talk to mentally ill, delusional, offensive people’

Getting “Loomered” was turned into a win by Christina Pushaw whose poise before dunking on the “investigative journalist”  spurred the birth of a new meme.

“I don’t talk to mentally ill, delusional, offensive people.”

Saturday as candidates, supporters and surrogates gathered for the Florida Freedom Summit in Kissimmee, Florida, one of former President Donald Trump’s most ardent followers attempted an ambush on Pushaw, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign rapid response director. Little more than two minutes of peppering questions gave way to an infinitely reusable juxtaposition of the social media figures.

On her own X account, Loomer framed the encounter with a caption that read in part, “I got her right as her boss was about to take the stage. She was slacking in the corner.”

Video footage showed Pushaw seated outside the event hall as the self-described journalist approached and, after a terse greeting, remarked, “I know you know me ’cause you’re always, you know, talking sh*t online.”

Walking away from Loomer, Pushaw donned a DeSantis baseball cap with a smile just as Tears For Fears “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” began to play. The hectoring of the DeSantis rapid response director continued throughout the hall until Pushaw offered, “I don’t talk to mentally ill, delusional, offensive people”

The video that had garnered nearly 400,000 views at the time of this posting began circulating social media after Pushaw had already taken a whack at the tease with her own post that read, “This is usually the expression I have on my face when a deranged vagrant approaches me on the street to demand my attention and money. I’m from California, I’m used to this.”

Pushaw wasn’t the only person questioned by Loomer in such a fashion Saturday, as she also shared video following DeSantis press secretary Bryan Griffin and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie who referred to her as “the crazy person,” the encounter with Pushaw had certainly gained the most traction as an array of users offered up their best memes.

In one such example where the ambush was described, “When you realize the mental patient that escaped is sitting beside you,” to which Pushaw had responded, “I am from LA, so it’s just like being home,” another user had followed up riffing on the focus by some Trump supporters on DeSantis’ cowboy boots.

“That Loomer energy, tho lololol,” read a responding meme that presented Loomer shouting in Pushaw’s ear “Rob’s boots are a national security threat!”

On top of the myriad of similar posts, others took note of how the rapid response director had faced off against Loomer with syndicated radio host Dana Loesch affirming “Absolute truth” to commentary, “This is a @ChristinaPushaw appreciation post. Even when she was [harassed], she handled herself with class, and grace and she smiled in the face of her haters. Team DeSantis is blessed to have her on our side. Show her some love, Team Sanity.”

Still, it was the memes that won the day as they even strayed outside of the political arena, bringing the encounter closer to home.
