Leftist journalists can’t hate America enough, and former NBC host Chuck Todd added his name to the list of those melting down over President Donald Trump having “ruined” the nation’s 25oth birthday celebrations.
In a video on his Chuck ToddCast show on Sunday, the former “Meet the Press” host attacked the president, whining that he had made the 4th of July events all about himself.
In his self-righteous tantrum, Todd complained that he felt “betrayed” by the events marking the nation’s semiquincentennial.
💥NEW: Chuck Todd *SEETHES* over Trump’s America 250 celebrations🤬
“I am so ANGRY — and feel BETRAYED! I do. I feel betrayed as an American … I’m so p*ssed off … America deserved better at 250.” pic.twitter.com/LMvVDrkGF4

“Donald Trump has ruined the American brand and the American birthday celebration,” Todd declared in the 15-minute video.
“He couldn’t leave it alone. He created his own version of the celebration,” he said, lamenting the congressionally approved America250 commission was overrun by Trump’s White House Task Force on Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.
“First, he created his task force on celebrating America’s 250th birthday with Freedom 250, with the president as chair and the vice president as vice chair, and it competed and overshadowed the congressionally-created, taxpayer-funded America 250 effort,” he said.
“Trump just took it all over. He staged his own little UFC fight on the White House lawn. A literal cage gets erected — or a bouncy house that looks like a cage — gets erected in the backyard on his birthday. It was supposed to also be about the 250th birthday, too, right? What’s there to even add on this, right?” Todd continued.
“The image does the work. There’s a cage on the White House lawn — a national birthday turned into his own personal political rally. A celebration of the country made to orbit one man,” he claimed.
There was no love for Trump’s Fourth of July speech, either, as he argued that the president tried to “steal” the nation’s 250th birthday, and had “absolutely sullied” its reputation.
“I’m so angry and feel betrayed. I do,” Todd groused. “I feel betrayed as an American by him on this.”
His tantrum got the response it deserved on social media.
He’s angry about the best fireworks show in history?
Angry about cleaning up our parks and monuments?
Angry about making our cities safer?

Obviously he did not see the same coverage or hear the same speeches I heard. This has been a beautiful tribute to our great nation and our Military! I have never been prouder and incredibly grateful for being an American. I’m feeling very blessed.

Dear @chucktodd
Not a single person on the planet thinks you’d have reacted this way if Obama or Biden had done the EXACT same things
You’re a liar and a fool

We all had high hopes for Trump 2.0 but none of us could have predicted a seething, irrelevant Chuck Todd screaming into a computer screen in his basement. What a time to be alive. https://t.co/k6d6gbLf6N
