Jeffries sucks up to Dem Socialist insurgents who want his head on a stick

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is sucking up to the openly socialist candidates who won their recent primaries, delivering a shocking blow to the Democratic establishment, especially to himself.

On a night that signaled the Democratic Party is on the verge of a full socialist takeover, two sitting members of Congress who were endorsed by Jeffries got ousted by candidates backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, solidifying his status as a kingmaker. Two other leftists also won their races.

Former NYC comptroller Brad Lander and political newcomer Darializa Avila Chevalier, who were both backed by Hizzoner, booted Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), leaving Jeffries with egg on his face and a target on his back as chants of “you’re next” broke out at victory celebrations.

But “Dollar Store Obama” tried to make nice with the insurgents, which is akin to attempting to curry favor with a lion before it eats you.

“Congratulations to our newest members of the NYC congressional delegation,” Jeffries wrote in a X post after his own candidates got their asses kicked. “From public servants to union organizers to community activists, the path is different, but the work is the same. We must decisively address the affordability crisis and crush far-right extremism!”

A few days later, Ethiopia-born attorney and leftist firebrand Melat Kiros, another political novice, toppled 15-term incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette in the Colorado primary, ensuring that Jeffries is going to have a new group of rabble-rousers to deal with who are going to make “The Squad” look like flag-waving pro-America capitalists. Presuming he gets elected as Speaker of the House if the Dems win the midterms, which is anything but certain at this point.

Jeffries also puckered up to Kiros, congratulating her on her stunning victory, which shows that the socialist insurgency has broken containment from deep blue New York City.

But Kiros is already showing signs of being a major pain in the rump when she gets to Congress.

“For decades Democrats have failed to meaningfully deliver for working families,” the congresswoman-in-waiting told Politico. “We have to root out the corruption and get money out of our politics. … It’s not about popular support, it’s about political will — and that means we have to vote out any of the incumbents that are standing in our way by taking that kind of corporate PAC money.”

And that includes “not supporting House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries for speaker,” the outlet added.

When confronted about the “you’re next” chants during an appearance on CNBC last week, Jeffries tried to change the subject to Trump.

The top House Dem may be “rolling out the red carpet” for the socialists, but as the New York Post eloquently puts it: “Jeffries is allowing himself to get pushed around. They’ll be feasting on his carcass in no time.”
