Claw-waving Dem puts on show again in Congress, disparages whole states as ‘deplorable’

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) may lack the ability to speak in proper English but that doesn’t mean she can’t latch onto Clinton-esque talking points to tarnish the right.

Crockett was disparaging the Heritage Foundation during a House Oversight Committee hearing Tuesday on transgender athletes when she attacked the Republican-controlled states of Texas and Florida.

“The Heritage Foundation loves Texas,” the Democrat lawmaker said, throwing her hands about as her head swayed from side to side. “Ooh, they love Texas. They always sending us some nonsense bills that somehow set this country on the wrong trajectory. They send them to Texas. They send them to Florida. Every deplorable state that we can think about, they usually coming out of y’all’s think tank.”

Interestingly, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) got under Crockett’s skin when she called a point of order and moved to strike the phrase “deplorable states” from the record. U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, the Kool-Aid drinking Democrat from Maryland, fired back: “That’s not a point of order. Let the gentlelady proceed.”

Crockett was quick to dunk on MTG in a tweet:

Of course, performative arts is a Crockett specialty, as seen early this year when she rocked her head back and forth while saying — rather loudly — of President Biden’s possible involvement in his son Hunter’s dubious business ventures, “I will tell you what the president has been guilty of: He has been guilty of loving this child unconditionally.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
