Clips from Maine Senate debate impossible to decipher from SNL skit

With Graham Platner having been forced out as Maine’s Democratic Senate candidate, the state is holding a primary to seat his replacement, and the eight candidates in the running held a debate this week that at one point had folks comparing it to a Saturday Night Live skit.

One of the candidates, a biological male in a dress who calls himself Ashley Webb, was asked what qualified him to be running for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

“Oh, I ran for office several times. I didn’t win, but I did run,” said Webb, who is running openly as a trans intersex candidate. “Then I’m a songwriter, and I write my own books… and I suppose my transparency. I wouldn’t lie to the people and I wouldn’t deceive the people like we’re being deceived right now.”

Talk about irony:

Webb would go on to add, “I suppose the biggest thing is I’m just an angry citizen now, and if I got elected, I’d be an angry senator.”

All of which would allow him to fit right in with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and his merry band of Democrat misfits.

Here’s another gem of a clip showcasing Webb explaining what pork belly is:

The remarkable thing about Webb’s presence on the stage is that he’s there because he insists he is a woman while wearing a dress. Even more remarkable is the rest of the sad sacks standing alongside him go along with Webb’s sexual fantasy, as if it’s normal behavior.

With Democrats like this, one has to wonder how Republicans in DC are so easily outclassed by Democrats — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
