CNN host grills DNC chair on Biden’s touting of economy, points to recent polls: ‘Does not appear to work’

CNN host Victor Blackwell surprisingly nailed DNC Chair Jaime Harrison over President Biden’s economic propaganda, pointing out that polls don’t reflect the hyperbole of Bidenomics.

The interesting exchange took place on Wednesday as Blackwell pressed Harrison about low polling that shows Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy.

The CNN host brought up a CNN poll that shows 63 percent of Americans think Biden is doing an abysmal job concerning the economy as inflation rages out of control.

“His campaign thus far has focused on the economy, it does not appear to work. Why?” Blackwell asked the chairperson of the Democratic National Committee who appeared to stumble over his non-response.

Harrison asserted that the Biden administration needed to keep getting out there to make sure that “people connect,” whatever that means. If it refers to the economy, the only connection going on is the struggle to pay for food, rent/mortgage, gas, utilities, clothes, and just about anything else. Forget about buying a car… those prices have skyrocketed out of sight.

“Good things are going on with the president. They’re happening because of his policies, consumer confidence is up, job satisfaction is up. Unemployment at a record low right now,” Harrison blatantly fibbed.

You talk about the things that are going up, gas prices are going up, 25 cents over the last month. A nickel off the price about a year ago. The mortgage rates are going up, 20-year-high, more than a 20-year high,” the CNN host truthfully pointed out, making his guest visibly cringe.

Blackwell did note however that the Biden administration had gone out of its way in order to explain that it was all “outside the president’s control.” No one seems to be buying that line anymore.

“We get that, but this is what people feel. Is there a vulnerability in tying the president’s reelection campaign, using his name with economics when so many people feel so sourly about the economy? Is that a vulnerability for the president?” the anchor logically asked the Democrat.

Harrison asserted that it wasn’t a vulnerability and contended that the US was still the leader economically on the global stage.

“We have fought back on inflation, because of the Inflation Reduction Act. We have seen a precipitous drop in terms of inflation in this country. And so every economic measure out there shows that we are not going into a recession. We are roaring, roaring back into the future on this economic message,” he said, making it evident that the Biden administration wants Americans to believe the exact opposite of the truth.

It’s a “Let them eat cake!” situation that proves just how tone-deaf Biden is or that he simply does not care.

Blackwell seems to want to report the truth when it comes to Biden’s tanking poll numbers. Earlier in August he confronted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over it as well.

He informed her that Americans are extremely unhappy with the president’s performance on the economy.

Her ridiculous answer to that assertion was that polls “don’t show everything.”

According to a Fox News poll that was published on Thursday, voters believe that Biden is making things much worse.

“Twenty-five percent feel the White House has made the economy better, up from 17% last summer. The poll found that twice as many say it has made things worse (52%), and one in five says it made no difference (22%),” Fox News reported.
