CNN’s Dana Bash whines that DOJ lacks ‘humanity’ for cruel treatment of Hunter Biden

CNN anchor Dana Bash whined how unfair it is for the DOJ to investigate Hunter Biden for five long years, decrying its lack of “humanity” for doing so.

Her whining over the probe into Hunter Biden’s corrupt, immoral, and illegal dealings followed Attorney General Merrick Garland shockingly appointing US Attorney David Weiss to oversee the probe as special counsel. He was already in charge of the case but the appointment will grant him broader authority to bring charges… broader authority he previously claimed he already had.

Bash, who hosts “Inside Politics,” was visibly upset over the appointment of a special counsel and raged over the treatment of Hunter Biden on air during a discussion.

“David Weiss has been working on this for five years, five years,” Bash charged, followed by a truly idiotic statement. “I’m not a lawyer but I’ve sort of covered enough of this to know that five years is a really long time.”

“And you know, God forbid we bring humanity into this but to be, you know, sort of stringing along and to be having a person’s life in limbo – and we’re talking about Hunter Biden, and we’re talking about his family and, you know, frankly, the president’s family,” she asserted. “Taking politics aside, if you change the name from Hunter Biden to Joe Smith, you would say, ‘You know what, that’s not really fair.'”

Bash made the claim despite a mountain of evidence that Hunter Biden has committed multiple felonies and that he and his father were allegedly engaged in influence peddling that raked in millions for the Biden clan from foreign entities.

Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart” plea deal fell apart after a judge scrutinized it for constitutionality and basically for common sense on the charges. She bristled at it attempting to make the first son immune from all potential crimes despite ongoing investigations. Republicans are intent on uncovering all the details and word has it that Kentucky Rep. James Comer intends to subpoena both father and son during the investigation.

Republicans blasted the appointment of Weiss by Garland, accusing the DOJ of obstructing Congress’ investigation.

Bash was joined by fellow CNN anchor Jake Tapper who claimed that although the dealings of Hunter Biden appeared sleazy, he felt the president had done nothing wrong. This is despite the Republicans providing tons of evidence to the contrary through bank statements and proof that foreign entities had wired over $20 million to the Biden family.

“So let’s pause it for the sake of argument that Hunter Biden is sleazy and the president’s relatives tried to profit off the Biden family brand, something CNN has reported on, what’s new in this memo?” a hostile Tapper stated, kicking off the segment with Comer, the House Oversight chairman, before repeatedly claiming he saw “no evidence” that President Biden did anything wrong.

However, on Friday, Tapper seemed to pivot somewhat on that stance, questioning the appointment of Weiss and asserting that the Republicans and whistleblowers may have had a point in opposing it.

CNN did not offer live coverage of the whistleblowers’ testimonies to Congress in July. The network also pushed a false claim that Devon Archer, who is the former longtime business partner and friend of Hunter Biden, testified to lawmakers that the first son merely sold the “illusion of access” to his father. A transcript of the testimony revealed that the “illusion of access” phrase was introduced by Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY).
