Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) is dogging the bribery scandal that President Biden is swept up in, laying out four key details in a recent op-ed that shreds misinformation Democrats are spreading about the legitimacy and seriousness of the matter.

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee is digging into the investigation of President Biden and his son Hunter Biden allegedly each taking a $5 million bribe from a foreign national. According to RedState, that foreign national is Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky. They go so far as to assert that a source claims that Zlochevsky works for Russian intelligence.
Comer opened up his piece at Fox News and tore into the alleged Biden bribery scheme with abandon.
“The Oversight Committee has already obtained thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family and has traced millions of dollars from China and Romania to the Biden family and their associates. Americans are asking: What is the Biden family business? They don’t sell anything, they don’t have lucrative assets generating income, yet they receive millions from around the globe. What are they selling? Influence and access,” he alleged.
“President Biden has repeatedly lied to the American people about his family’s business dealings. Now, Americans are left wondering if Joe Biden was involved with them,” the Republican leader charged.

“First, Democrats are peddling conspiracy theories and alleging the FD-1023 record is based on secondhand hearsay. The FD-1023 record was generated by a trusted confidential source who was working with the FBI for over ten years,” Comer wrote in his op-ed.
The highly credible confidential source that provided the information to the FBI has a reportedly long track record in assisting the bureau. So, the allegation of the information being “secondhand hearsay” is weak tea at best and appears to suggest that all informants are untrustworthy. That is a rich insinuation considering how the left used a whole list of unnamed sources against former President Trump.
“Second, Democrats claim that the record is part of the documents Rudy Giuliani provided the FBI in January 2020. That’s not true. The FD-1023 document stands on its own and contains information from the FBI’s confidential human source dating back to another FD-1023 generated in 2017,” Comer contended.
Giuliani is a dog the left just loves to kick. They blame the man for just about anything they can get away with. The assertion that Giuliani sourced the FD-1023 is a brazen lie that Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has repeated multiple times. The informant is one that goes back to the Obama administration. The FD-1023 was originally submitted in 2017 but was generated in 2020.
The Bidens have a pattern of using their network of over 20 sham companies and complicated financial transactions to hide money received from foreign adversaries.

“Third, the FD-1023 was generated by the FBI in June 2020 based on other FBI records dating back to 2017. The Department of Justice conducted an assessment on separate material provided to the Department in January 2020, and this assessment was closed in August 2020. Democrats are claiming the DOJ investigated the FD-1023 and then took no action, but the FBI has refused to answer what information was part of their assessment. How could the DOJ have conducted a credible, thorough investigation in four weeks? It’s not possible,” Comer pointed out.
The assertion by Comer here is valid. According to the FD-1023, the Biden family used dozens of shell corporations and LLCs to move around money. In fact, so many transactions took place that it is being noted by Comer that it would take ten years to track down all of them. Four weeks is totally implausible for an investigation into the matter.
The last detail involves Raskin repeating the lie that the investigation is closed over and over again. That is simply untrue.
Another day, another Democrat lying to cover up for President Biden.
Here are the facts:
Fact 1: The FBI record was generated by a trusted, confidential source who has worked with the FBI for 10+ years, not Rudy Giuliani.
Fact 2: As confirmed by Fmr AG Barr, the record was… https://t.co/MTXyUMoy6v

“And last, let’s be very clear: The allegations in the record are not closed. FBI officials and former Attorney General William Barr have refuted Democrats’ lies that the Biden bribery investigation was closed. ‘On the contrary, it was sent to Delaware for further investigation,’ former Attorney General Barr said this week on the record,” Comer stated.
Former AG Bill Barr confirmed that the investigation is not closed but was instead handed over to the US attorney in Delaware. The same one that buried the Hunter Biden probe.
Comer is vowing to not back down and get to the truth of the matter. Neither Attorney General Merrick Garland nor FBI Director Christopher Wray are pursuing it and seem to instead be covering it up.
