Comer vows more to come, says Biden family ‘has received millions’ that they ‘can’t explain’

House Oversight Committee chair James Comer revealed on Friday that he has additional evidence to share about Hunter Biden.

He offered the bombshell revelation while speaking on Newsmax about Attorney General Merrick Garland’s latest remarks.

Listen:

As previously reported, on Friday the attorney general denied the legitimacy of damning accusations made by two IRS whistleblowers who’ve claimed that the Trump-appointed attorney in charge of the Hunter Biden case had been impeded in his work by higher-ups within the Department of Justice.

“He just stood up and lied to the American people. Merrick Garland has destroyed the reputation of the Justice cabinet. He has destroyed the reputation of justice in America. He needs to go,” Comer said on Newsmax in response to Garland’s statement.

“There’s no way he could defend the indefensible by saying that he has treated Democrats in the same manner that he has treated Republicans, specifically the way he treated the president of the United States’ son,” he added.

He continued by stressing that there’s still plenty of more evidence that has yet to be revealed to the American public.

Let me assure the American people…we have bank records that came in this week that we’re going through that we think are going to show more wires from more countries,” he said.

Remember, we just disclosed two countries thus far, we’ve disclosed China and Romania. There are still some more Chinese wires that we have yet to present to the American people,” he added.

We are still producing results, every day, that shows this family, the President of the United States’ family, has received millions and millions of dollars from our adversaries all over the world…and they can’t explain why…they can’t explain what they did to produce that money,” he concluded.

His remarks came amid what had been a tumultuous week in which, one, Hunter, President Joe Biden’s youngest son, accepted a sweetheart plea agreement from U.S. Attorney David Weiss, and two, two IRS whistleblowers came forward alleging that Weiss had been impeded in his investigation by higher-ups.

“In an October 7, 2022, meeting at the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Attorney David Weiss told six witnesses he did not have authority to charge in other districts and had thus requested special counsel status,” a summary of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley’s testimony to Congress reads.

“Those six witnesses include Baltimore FBI Special Agent in Charge Tom Sobocinski and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ryeshia Holley, IRS Assistant Special Agent in
Charge Gary Shapley and Special Agent in Charge Darrell Waldon, who also independently and contemporaneously corroborated Mr. Shapley’s account in an email, now public as Exhibit 10,” the summary continues.

“Mr. Shapley would have no insight into why Mr. Weiss’s would make these statements at the October 7, 2022 meeting if they were false. That Mr. Weiss made these statements is easily corroborated, and it is up to him and the Justice Department to reconcile the evidence of his October 7, 2022 statements with contrary statements by Mr. Weiss and the Attorney General to Congress,” the summary concludes.

But as noted earlier, Garland denied the legitimacy of these accusations during a press conference Friday. The problem is few people believe him, including Comer.

Speaking of Comer, earlier this month he teased bank records that he claimed would show that the Biden family accepted up to $30 million from foreign actors.

“We have more bank records coming in, we’re going to exceed $10 million this week. And I think we’ll get up to between $20 and 30 million,” he said on Fox News’ “Mornings w/Maria.”

Comer is currently investigating claims that Hunter used his family name to earn a profit from foreign companies like Burisma, among others.

The House Oversight Committee chair is also looking into the bigger allegation that President Biden had been aware of and even participated in these schemes.

In a Fox News column published on the 13th, Comer bluntly asked, “Did Joe Biden sell out America?”

In the op-ed, he mentioned a “confidential human source who provided information about then-Vice President Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme” and noted that this source “is a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for years and paid six figures.”
