It’s been a particularly manic weekend for unhinged former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann who among other things, called for the pretrial jailing of former President Donald J. Trump.
The years have not been kind to the 64-year-old who was once a star at the left-wing cable network but was kicked to the curb in favor of Rachel Maddow and is now just a bitterly aging crank who has been rage-tweeting, recording profanity-laden rants from the balcony of his New York City apartment and posting unhinged commentary to YouTube.
The easily-triggered exile from the mainstream leftist commentariat took to Twitter/X to call for Trump’s arrest over a Friday post to Truth Social in which the GOP frontrunner wrote “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!,” a missive that spurred Special Counsel Jack Smith to go crying to the Obama-appointed judge in the J6 case to effectively place a legal “gag” on Trump
“He must be detained NOW,” demanded Olbermann on a short video teasing his podcast while wearing what appeared to be his pajamas, clearly a man suffering from the ravages of late stage Trump Derangement Syndrome.

In another more vitriolic tweet posted a few hours earlier, the crazed left-winger reiterated his call for pretrial detention of the former president who he described as “the most dangerous terrorist in this country.”
“This violates the terms of his release. No name is mentioned; none is. He’s threatening the Justice department, the special counsel, the judges, the president,” he claimed despite Trump’s post not mentioning ANY of them.

Kooky Keith’s meltdown came as he also fired off a misogynist tweet about conservative commentator Megyn Kelly who he called a “moronic asshole” in a vile and unprovoked attack that came as a reply to Justin Baragona of the leftist Daily Beast.

Once a dapper, well-spoken, and witty commentator for ESPN and MSNBC, Olbermann has become a mangy and pathetic figure whose obsession with Trump has had him locked in a yearslong downward spiral and looking more and more desperately in need of an intervention by the day.
