Creepy scene as Biden sits for a minute while press shouts questions, then gets led off by handler

Talk about bad optics, President Joe Biden returned from an extended vacation this week and made a rare public appearance since being forced out as the Democratic nominee and it’s fair to say it didn’t go well.

The cognitively challenged 81-year-old president is slower than ever in his movements and onlookers continue to question whether Biden is fully aware of what is going on around him, and his handlers are doing the president no favors.

On Tuesday, Biden sat at a tiny desk and spoke about his “Investing in America” agenda before participating in a virtual conversation with various local leaders from around the country — CSPAN billed the event as being from the White House though it was taking place on a manufactured set.

At the conclusion of the event, reporters began shouting questions at Biden who just sat there grinning. Ever so slowly he got up, gathered his things, and was guided out of the room. Unsteady on his feet, Biden looked as impotent as ever, and the Trump campaign was quick to call attention to the sad spectacle.

“Crooked Joe Biden — completely cooked — spends a full minute ignoring questions as his handlers desperately attempt to remove them from the room. Warning: This is painful to watch,” the caption read.

One of the better responses to the clip was from investigative reporter Drew Hernandez, who posted: “Biden’s life is The Truman Show.”

The tiny desk stood out and drew plenty of ridicule online — of course, no one does snark better than The Babylon Bee:
